For many of the nostalgic and Linkin Park fans this is a moment, not difficult because in life you have to move forward, but strange. Since the departure of Chester Bennington back in 2017 this group decided to step away from music, and rightly so, I guess to think and rearrange ideas of what would become of them from that moment. For some time now they have been gradually welding things, unreleased songs that never came to light as if giving to understand that little by little we would see them again in full. Well, after 7 years the wait has finally come to an end and they not only announced their return, but also a world tour, a new album and yes, a new vocalist.

In the few hours that Emily has been in the group, there have been more messages of affection and support than from those who, I believe, still do not surpass Chester. It must be said that he is irreplaceable, the mark he left is too big to even compare him with anyone; and I also feel that this exercise would be very selfish towards a singer who wants, beyond replacing someone, is to pay tribute from the respect and love for a figure like Chester Bennington. Basically this is nothing more than a new Linkin Park.

- The Emptiness Machine

This is the new song of this new stage. The first single from the album to be released in November (From Zero). Emily Armstrong is the typical person who has been involved with music since she was a child, little is known about her other than that being on stage is not new to her because it's what she has done all her life. She is 38 years old, which she doesn't look like, and has a unique voice. I like it because at first it seems like a quiet voice but suddenly the rock comes out and the truth is that it is very full. She has been influenced by folk rock. I think the color of her voice and the way she moves on stage goes hand in hand with what Linkin Park is, Shinoda got it right with this addition. But not only she arrived but the drummer is also new, Colin Brittain arrives for Rob Bourdon. A guy who has worked with Papa Rouch for example.

I like the song a lot, it talks about unrequited love that end up doing more damage than anything else, those that are based on trust and in the end nothing is left of that. It is a theme very much in the style of the band, it is true that we are saying that this is a new Linkin Park but the essence has to follow that way. At the moment the only thing we know is the live event that they gave yesterday in their networks where they announced all this and also offered a concert with some of their most iconic songs.

In The End, Faint, One Step Closer, Crawling, Numb, Papercut, Lost, etc are some of the songs that were enjoyed, all under the label of Emily and Shinoda, who is now the leader of the group. If you are Linkin Park fans you have to be happy that these people are finally going to make new music and above all get back on stages around the world. This band means a lot to me because, as I've said here before, I grew up with them and with Hybrid Theory from 2000, for me their best album. I hope From Zero brings us good songs, like The Emptiness Machine.
