My TTT picks
Hello TTT fam, this is my first time joining the TTT initiative. I see a lot of people join in the fun and I am glad that I am finally sharing three wonderful tunes with you all and I hope you all like them.
If you are wondering what TTT is, it’s an initiative by @ablaze where people get to share three tunes every Tuesday.
Today I’ll be sharing two beautiful songs that I have come to love dearly.
These songs set the room and make me happy the moment they come on.
The first on my list is Happy. As the name implies it is a song that makes you happy.
I can’t aptly describe how much I love this song. You can never listen to this song without dancing. You dance without your consent and you enjoy every bit of it and wouldn’t mind listening to it again and again.
Happy is a song by Pharrell Williams. This song encourages us to always be happy no matter what. It’s tough out there. So many bills to pay, so many setbacks and so many things to do that we get caught up in all of these and we forget to be Happy.
As simple and free as Happiness is, not everyone experiences it and that’s so sad. Pharrell Williams is saying “Be Happy and don’t care about the world.”
Do you need a song that would uplift your spirit? Listen to Pharrell Williams and trust me you’d be glad that you did.
The second song on my list is Alex Warren's Ordinary.
Ordinary
You’ve probably heard this song a lot lately as it’s quite popular, especially on TikTok. At some point, it did top the chart.
Ordinary is a beautiful song. This song soothes your heart and makes you appreciate the beauty in love.
You read correctly, Ordinary is a love song. This song expresses love in its sweetest and purest form. It’s a type of song you just want to listen to again and again and you feel a certain way.
The lyrics of the song are both beautiful and relatable. Ordinary is used to celebrate love and devotion.
This wonderful song is not only meant for lovers but for everyone else.
The last on my list is No Turning Back by Gaise Baba and Lawrence Oyor. No Turning Back is an Afro gospel song. It was newly released and it’s being making waves. It’s a song that charges you up and reminds you of how far you’ve come.
The music resonates with everyone who is determined to build their faith and not to turn back to their old ways.
It is slowly becoming an anthem in my country and I love it so much. I love how I dance to it every time it comes up.
