We are all humans regardless of our status: My three tunes for the week
It's everyone's dream to be known and celebrated and Burna Boy wants the same thing when he made this song. In a world where pains and suffering seem to be the order of the day, it makes sense to at least something that is worth celebrating and to be known for the rest of your life or even when you leave the world.
I choose this particular song titled “Only Me” because a lot of people can relate to the world always trying to push us around. 2Baba is asking that you should allow yourself to be pushed to the wall and that you should learn to be you no matter the pressure. He sang this song to everyone although he wanted to share his thoughts without acting as though he was pure or preaching.
He also identifies that humans can not exist on their one as none is an island so we need each other. So we should accommodate one another regardless of our status, fame, wealth, or anything else that is added to our names.
The last song “Walk on Water”. by global superstars Eminem and Beyonce.
If you are listening to Eminem's rap, you will realize that he is talking about putting a lot of pressure on himself and striving to achieve more as a result he stretches his expectation, probably a little too high. But then he realizes that no matter how high the bar he sets, he will still be judged. This is because he will always want to bring lyrics that wow the crowd, to be perfect, to be flawless.
In the end, we are all humans, and we have our flaws, our weaknesses, and the more pressure that society put on us the more fears we have that we might disappoint them. And so the title Walk on Water could depict the last two lines of the chorus
Cause I'm terrified to let you down, oh
If I walked on water, I would drown

It really is nice to listen to music that reminds us we're all about the same, regardless of economic status. Eminem does a really good job of being able to relate to people.
