Green day acaba de sacar una nueva canción y si me preguntan podríamos ignorarla por completo. En el video Los tres integrantes son reducidos a una caricatura de sí mismo. Toda su vida han estado interpretando exactamente ese papel dentro de la banda. Y es como si absolutamente nada hubiera cambiado en 30 años. Y eso me parece absurdo. morisquetas que hacía sus 20 años y el bajista está reducido a sus coros con los ojos cerrados pegados al micrófono. Y el vocalista misma actitud de american idiot. Lo mismo pasa con la canción. Tiene todos los clichés de la banda sin intentar algo nuevo. Tiene los coros que suenan a green day. Tiene el mismo rif de guitarra al inicio que suena green day. Tiene las mismas melodías del vocalista que suenan a green day. Y supongo que eso está bien para alguien que le encanta pero ya tenemos american idiot. Para qué quiero otra american idiot. Y aparte el tema de la canción, ese segmento que el vocalista repite diciendo badabing badabum... Me parece que es algo demasiado infantil. Bueno, no tienes que ser Nietzche para escribir una letra competente, pero no quiero que una canción de una banda de punk rock suena algo escrito por un personaje plaza sésamo. No sé hubo muchas cosas que estuvieron fuera de lugar ahí y no me cerraron. En lugar de escuchar este nuevo single podríamos sencillamente escuchar cualquier otra cosa que ellos ya hayan hecho antes y sería igual. No me sorprendería que en este disco tuviéramos una canción exactamente igual a Jesus of suburbial. Igual no lo voy a escuchar así que no me voy a enterar.

And aside from the song's theme, that segment where the vocalist repeats, saying "badabing badabum"—I think it's a bit too childish. Well, you don't have to be Nietzsche to write competent lyrics, but I don't want a punk rock band's song to sound like it was written by a Sesame Street character. I don't know, there were a lot of things that were out of place there, and they didn't add up for me. Instead of listening to this new single, we could just listen to anything else they've done before, and it would be the same. I wouldn't be surprised if on this album we had a song exactly like "Jesus of Suburbia." I'm probably not going to listen to it anyway, so I won't find out.
