"Con acento italiano"// "With an Italian accent"
La música supera cualquier barrera, y más allá de separarnos nos permite conectar entre culturas, ritmos e idiomas de una manera totalmente única. No necesitas hablar un idioma de manera perfecta para poder disfrutar de un tema, y de hecho suele ser una experiencia totalmente única cuando te apegas a una canción que no tiene nada que ver con tu idioma de nacimiento. A veces hay canciones que son tan buenas y populares que se interpretan en varios idiomas, pero ¿Qué hay de esos cantantes que incursionan en un idioma que no es el suyo propio?
Se podría decir que es como un salto de fe lo que en ocasiones algunos cantantes hacen, ya que de plano es un reto alcanzar el éxito con una canción en un solo lenguaje. Es aquí donde la habilidad se mezcla con el deseo y las ganas de poder transmitir la letra de una hermosa canción a fin de llegar a otras personas que no conoces ni quizás dominas su idioma, pero ese deseo de hacerles llegar la música pienso que termina siendo el impulso especial que ha llevado a muchos a, no solo intentarlo, sino también de lograr plasmar su huella especial en el universo musical.
Music overcomes any barriers, and beyond separating us it allows us to connect across cultures, rhythms and languages in a totally unique way. You don't need to speak a language perfectly to enjoy a song, and in fact it's often a totally unique experience when you become attached to a song that has nothing to do with your native language. Sometimes there are songs that are so good and popular that they are performed in several languages, but what about those singers who dabble in a language that is not their own?
You could say that it is like a leap of faith what some singers sometimes do, since it is a challenge to achieve success with a song in a single language. It is here where the ability is mixed with the desire and the desire to transmit the lyrics of a beautiful song in order to reach other people who do not know and perhaps do not master their language, but that desire to make them get the music I think ends up being the special impulse that has led many to not only try, but also to achieve their special mark in the musical universe.
Al meditar en el tema de esta publicación, enseguida pensé en esos cantantes italianos que prácticamente desde niño he escuchado y admirado con mucha emoción. Ya por allá por mis últimos años de primaria empecé a conocer los temas de Eros Ramazzotti, y gracias a un primo quien era super fan de este cantante italiano, en poco tiempo me conecté a sus canciones. Como niño yo si decía que aunque Eros cantara en español, el acento italiano le daba un ingrediente especial a la letra de sus canciones que desde mi punto de vista le hacen una hermosa reverencia al sentimiento del amor.
La canción "Un ángel no es" es mi favorita, y no sé porque se me parece bastante al tema "Y si fuera ella" de Alejandro Sanz. En lo personal, percibo esa sensación de aquella espera por esa persona ideal que simplemente no está aunque ya en tu mente y tu corazón tienes toda la historia armada. Pero no muy lejano a esta canción están otras que no dejan de ser muy hermosas, como "Por ti me casaré", "La cosa más bella", "Otra como tú" y muchas más. Creo que nada más con estos temas ya tenemos para enamorarnos y comprometernos con esa persona especial.
When I thought about the subject of this publication, I immediately thought of those Italian singers that I have listened to and admired with great emotion since I was a child. Back in my late elementary school years I started to know the songs of Eros Ramazzotti, and thanks to a cousin who was a super fan of this Italian singer, in a short time I became connected to his songs. As a child I did say that although Eros sang in Spanish, the Italian accent gave a special ingredient to the lyrics of his songs that from my point of view make a beautiful reverence to the feeling of love.
The song "Un ángel no es" is my favorite, and I don't know why it seems to me quite similar to the song "Y si fuera ella" by Alejandro Sanz. Personally, I perceive that feeling of waiting for that ideal person who just isn't there, even though in your mind and heart you already have the whole story. But not far from this song there are others that are still very beautiful, such as "Por ti me casaré", "La cosa más bella", "Otra como tú" and many more. I think that these songs are enough to make us fall in love and commit ourselves to that special person.
Pero el encanto italiano tiene su lado femenino, y así es como Laura Pausini se hace con un espacio único y hermoso que solo ella puede ocupar. Hermosa, espectacular, y vayan todos los adjetivos calificativos que aún se quedan cortos para describir mi admiración por esta bella cantante Italiana. Ella desde hace mucho es "Inolvidable" para mí, y entre muchos temas nunca podrían faltar "En ausencia de ti", "La soledad" y "amores extraños". He tenido la oportunidad de ver como ella al igual que Eros lo daban todo a través de sus conciertos, logrando esa conexión con el público que solo los grandes logran concretar.
But the Italian charm has its feminine side, and that's how Laura Pausini gets a unique and beautiful space that only she can occupy. Beautiful, spectacular, and all the adjectives that still fall short to describe my admiration for this beautiful Italian singer. She has long been "Unforgettable" for me, and among many songs I could never miss "En ausencia de ti", "La soledad" and "amores extraños". I have had the opportunity to see how she and Eros gave their all in their concerts, achieving that connection with the public that only the great ones can achieve.
Y entonces me encuentro con esas historias en los que una canción te lleva a conocer a un talentoso artista. El tema "Una historia entre tus dedos" llegó a ser una fija en los diferentes programas de música romántica en la radio de mi país, pero curiosamente casi nadie sabía identificar o por lo menos pronunciar bien el nombre del cantante. Gianluca Grignani logró atar una historia en nuestros corazones con este tema, y aún sigue siendo una canción top en mi lista de preferencias. Es impresionante lo que una buena canción puede lograr en una persona, tanta calidad y tanto sentimiento expresados en tan solo unos minutos de esta pieza musical.
And then I come across those stories in which a song leads you to meet a talented artist. The song "Una historia entre tus dedos" (A story between your fingers) became a regular on the different romantic music programs on the radio in my country, but curiously almost nobody knew how to identify or at least pronounce the name of the singer well. Gianluca Grignani managed to tie a story in our hearts with this song, and it still remains a top song in my list of preferences. It is impressive what a good song can achieve in a person, so much quality and so much feeling expressed in just a few minutes of this piece of music.
Algunas de las canciones que he mencionado también las he escuchado en su idioma original, y aún así no dejo de sentir esa misma satisfacción y disfrute como cuando las escucho en español. No parece haber alguna diferencia, y terminas amando la letra del tema sin importar que sea en otro idioma. De hecho, las canciones "La soledad" y "la cosa más bella" en italiano me parecen más hermosas para escuchar, aunque prácticamente yo no sé nada de este idioma.
El lenguaje es algo fascinante que no deja de sorprenderme cada vez más, y que bonito es que cuando lo que se dice encaja con la melodía de una hermosa canción, rompiendo barreras y obstáculos que en otros escenarios de la vida quizás nos harían perder la esencia de una hermosa y especial conexión. Una canción en español con el ingrediente italiano es una combinación perfecta para alegrar nuestros sentimientos y darle más vida a nuestro corazón.
Some of the songs I have mentioned I have also listened to in their original language, and yet I still feel the same satisfaction and enjoyment as when I listen to them in Spanish. There doesn't seem to be any difference, and you end up loving the lyrics no matter if they are in another language. In fact, I find the songs "La soledad" and "la cosa más bella" in Italian more beautiful to listen to, even though I know practically nothing of this language.
Language is something fascinating that never ceases to amaze me more and more, and how beautiful it is when what is said fits the melody of a beautiful song, breaking barriers and obstacles that in other scenarios of life would perhaps make us lose the essence of a beautiful and special connection. A song in Spanish with the Italian ingredient is a perfect combination to brighten our feelings and give more life to our heart.
