TO LOVE MUSIC IS TO LOVE LIFE [ING][ESP]

Today I want to tell you about my beginnings playing black metal and how I fell in love with this sub genre of music.

Many people think that playing extreme Metal is just noise and screams, but no, it's much more than that, it's taking music to another level, it's knowing about music, tempos and agility.

When I started playing bass with this style, it was a curious experience, the drummer of the band I first played extreme metal with contacted me and told me that they were looking for a bass player for their band, I accepted without hesitation because I liked it, when I went to meet the rest of the musicians, they almost rejected me for being a girl, they didn't want a woman in the band.

It was a black metal band, and as I knew they had already had a woman in their ranks, but they had many problems with the girl, problems in which I did not inquire, I was there to show my talent nothing else.

The day of the interview there were 4 musicians there besides me, they saw me and first they talked one by one with the 4 guys and they left me last, even so they accepted me to audition, they gave us a song to learn it for a week, the day came! The seven days passed and to the surprise of the five of us I was the only one able to play the whole song without mistakes, they didn't give us tablature or staff, we had to learn it by ear, they were very surprised and confessed that they had left me the longest and most difficult song so that I wouldn't be at the end.

That day they told me that the current bass player was going to Mexico just the day of an important presentation, that if I was willing I had to learn eight more songs to play it in three weeks, but that it would only be for that presentation and then they would continue looking for a permanent bass player for their band. So I accepted!

In less than 3 weeks I learned the songs, at the dress rehearsal the day before the show, everything went well and I played and despite my nerves I played that bass better than I imagined, many people were surprised to see a girl bassist playing extreme metal. After the show, a few days later they uploaded the photos of that event on social networks, the impact was positive for the band to have a girl among its members, so I stayed as a permanent bass player, from that day until the band disbanded 2 years later.

I liked this experience, for many it would have been an offense not to be accepted for being a woman, for me it was a challenge, in which I was satisfied, because it does not matter if others do not believe in you, the important thing is that you believe in you ....

If you believe in something with all your heart, and above all if you believe in yourself, you can achieve everything.

AMAR LA MUSICA ES AMAR LA VIDA!

Hoy les quiero contar sobre mis inicios tocando metal negro. (Black Metal) y de como fue que me enamore de este Sub Genero de la musica.

Muchos piensan que tocar Metal extremo es solo ruido y gritos, pero no, es mucho mas que eso, es llevar la musica a otro nivel, es saber de musica, de tempos y de agilidad.

Cuando empecé a tocar el bajo con este estilo, fue una experiencia algo curiosa, me contacta el baterista de esa banda con la que toque por primera vez metal extremo y me comenta que estan en busca de bajista para su banda, yo acepte sin dudar ya que me gustaba, cuando fui a conocer al resto de los músicos, casi me rechazaron por ser una chica, no querían una mujer en la banda.

Era una banda de black metal, y según supe ya una vez hable tenido uns mujer en sus filas, pero tuvieron muchos problemas con la chica, problemas en los cuales no Indagué, yo estaba allí para demostrar mi talento nada mas.

El día de la entrevista habian 4 músicos allí aparte de mi, me vieron y primero hablaron uno a uno con los 4 chicos y a mi me dejaron de ultima, aun así aceptaron que auducionara, nos entregaron Una canción para aprenderla para Adicionar una Semana pues Llego el día! Pasarin los siete dias y Para sorpresa de los cinco fui la única capaz de tocar todo el tema completo, sin errores, no nos dieron tablaturas o pentagrama haber que aprenderla a oido puro, se sorprendieron mucho y confesaron que me habian dejado la canción mas larga y mas difícil para que no quedara al final.

Ese dia me dicen que el bajista actual se iba a mexico justo el día de una presentación importante, que si estaba dispuesta me tenia que aprender Ocho temas mas para tocarla en Tres semanas, pero que solo seria para esa presentación y luego ellos continuarían en busca de un Bajista fijo para su banda. ¡Pues acepte!

En menos de 3 semanas me aprendí los temas, en el ensayo general un día antes de la presentación, todo salio bien y toque y a pesar de mis nervios toque ese bajo mejor de lo que imagine, mucha gente se sorprendió se ver a una chica bajista tocando metal extremo. Después de la presentación, unos días después subieron las fotos de ese evento en redes sociales el impacto fue positivo para la banda el hecho de tener una chica entre sus integrantes, así que me quede como bajista fija, desde ese dia hasta que se disolvió la banda 2 años después.

Me gusto esta experiencia, para muchos habría sido una ofensa que por ser mujer no te aceptaran, para mi fue un reto, en el cual quede satisfecha, porque no importa si los demás no creen en ti, lo importante es que tu creas en ti...

Si crees en algo con todo tu corazón, y sobre todo si crees en ti, todo lo puedes lograr.
