James Blake uses a “Trap” beat, which is not really a Trap beat, but it does have that energy thanks to the drums of the Trap genre, which, due to its widespread use, when it is a newer song, people introduce it into modern R&B or TrapSoul. It is not a Trap song at all, but I think the Trap genre is the one that will prevail in the long run, because of its drums. Everyone will continue to use those drums, maybe not at 140 bpm. Blake uses it at a speed of approximately 110 bpm, I would say, without confirming it.
