My Actifit Report Card: August 13 2023 - Jolene by Cotton Pickin Kids
Here's a fun cover of Dolly Parton's hit Jolene covered by a family band known as Cotton Pickin Kids. I wrote about them some months ago and when I saw their Jolene cover in my YouTube feed today I had to check it out. I'm not a Country music fan but I do like this song!
The Kids did a good job with it. There's a lot going on with 6 instruments playing. The vocals are 2 girls doing a duet on the chorus, with just the blonde girl singing the verses. It looks like the actual singing took place in a studio and was maybe lip synced in the video.
The song is over at 3:40 but they follow it with some long commercial messages for the band's music mainly by younger kids who aren't in the band but I think are part of the same big family. It's really cool to see this family making music together.
The video is just 5 hours old but it's off to a good start with 3.1K views. Check it out!
MY ACTIVITY
was some movement at a birthday party early this evening. Then I took a walk even though it's still hot and humid out.
