My Actifit Report Card: April 10 2023 - Local Music by Modern Moxie!
Here's a cool band I found on YouTube and they are from the city I'm close to. Their name is Modern Moxie. They have a cool Indie Rock sound with guitars, bass and drums. One guitarist and lead vocalist is a woman named Madison Lucas. The other 3 members are guys.
This song is called Big Wave and the video is from October 2021 during the pandemic which inspired the lyrics according to the description box. I like the aggressive tone of the vocals and guitars over a standard dance beat echoing the 60s as the video also does.
Speaking of the 60s, there was a local band called The Paragons with a local hit in 1967 called Abba. It has been covered by many bands from all over the world in the last 50+ years. Its a groovy tune and its fun to sing along to. Maybe Modern Moxie will cover it!
