Jericho By iniko: Self realisation and Break free of societal constraints.
Talking about Iniko,She's a young rising star in the music industry known with her melodious vocals that connects deeply with emotions.
I have not known her earlier but seriously when I came across one of her song" Armour" on Acapella I fell in love with everything about her and I seriously don't want it to stop.
The feeling grew stronger when I listened to this particular music"Jericho" and to me I felt it was specifically created for me.
The societal constraints can be a bit handful but working towards your self discovery gives an edge to soar through the difficulties and pull through.
Funny enough 🤣,I had to put this song on repeat in my playlist cuz who wouldn't like to listen to it all through the hours and minutes non stop. It's truly a must listen 👂 .
The song is a call to awakening in my own opinion,From the piano soothing with the journey to self discovery and making one to always struggle to gain freedom from the Emotional experience and barriers.
Its musicality is a minimalist with only piano and the vocals . The simplicity of the instrumentation adds intensity to the song capturing emotions and bringing connection with the soul of the listener.
Having listened and watched the lyrics one can tell that this song where is more like a metaphor to the biblical occurrence of the walls of the Jericho when the Israelites stormed out in high louds and pitch to break off their barriers.
The incidence of the walls of jericho falling as it was written in the bible made more sense to me after coming across this music. I have always not thought about the deep sense of what happened in the bible.
The Israelites storming out to push the walls down using praises and trumpet signifies the work we put in when things weren't going on normally with us to make it out victorious.
In our daily endeavours, we do encounter things that confine us in a position that we feel can't make it out of it but we still strive to make the best out of our lives; Be it emotional trauma,past experience and many other factors.
Without me being sentimental here,I would love to say that this soul-stirring song is a testament to the human spirit's ability to rise above societal constraints and forge it's own path. The lyrics tells us that we have the strength and resit to overcome obstacles.
In conclusion, Jericho by iniko is more than just a song,it's a call to arms,Urging us to work hard to break free from any limitations or set back that holds us back thereby realising our self confident in the society we are today.
With this I must say that self discovery isn't just a journey but also a determination to get to a destination.
