He saw her today and almost melted. He tried to hide his face behind me and I was just trying to figure out what the hell was wrong.
"My heart still skips whenever I catch sight of her.. " He muttered beneath his breath.
"So why did you let her go?" I was forced to ask.
My cousin keeps grieving anytime he set his eyes on his ex. Initially he had the mentality that, there were many fishes in the sea.. So he believed he'd find someone even better after he ended the relationship.
Unfortunately, there was just only...... One and only Her (JumJum).as I fondly call her.
There was just something about her which was so hard to find in other ladies. She wasn't the cutest, richest or the one with the most banging body.
She was just a simple lady who had a heart of gold. Ready to go all out for her lover. She was one with the softest heart, the most honest and the one who called almost everyone to plead when he was about to end the relationship.
Most people just don't know how to handle a genuine person. They are too overwhelmed that they begin to take them for granted.
Truth is, we never really value what we've got until it's gone! Especially when the person seem too good to be true.. Always available, clingy and sacrifices a lot. Why do pet believe in chaotic love? The kind of love that is inconsistent over a peaceful love? That was where the problem started. She brought him the most peace and he couldn't handle it.
Well..Good people are often taken for granted.
This encounter reminded me of Passenger's song.
"We only miss sun when it start to snow!" It proves that people do not always appreciate what they've gotten in their possession until they no longer possess and now realize the price it's worth!
Everyone we've come across in our lives has a purpose and sometimes we often lose the good ones while believing that everyone is replaceable.
Some people are just too precious. We have to figure who these ones are, so that when we cross path we don't take them for granted.
This goes beyond romantic relationship, it is as deep as cherishing your parents, siblings, workplace,skill or whatever brings you the most joy.
Always choose peace above all things. Anyone who brings you butterflies, keeps you sane, and go an extra mile to prove how much they are proud to have you in their lives is worth fighting for and keeping no matter the odds.
I saw her today and she glowed even more. She bloomed like a flower in it season.Her smile was as pretty as ever. She had moved on and now he was regretting not holding on to her when he had the chance to. He kept singing her praise in the car as we drove home from a function where he saw the lady who was once ready to give the world to him.
"No one could love me better.. " Well! That is the poor exactly. If ever he finds someone better, he'd learn to cherish and treat her right.
He knew he loved her when he lost her. And, that's the price he had to pay. Such a heavy price if you ask me! Peace out!
