TTT| Setsuna
Hello to all my fellow music lovers!
It's been a while since I wrote a #ttt post. I believed the last one, I made 2 months ago with the Reggae band, The Chongkeys, together with the songs that they played in Rakpublika 2025. This time, I want to introduce the Rap Metal band Setsuna to promote more of our #localartist. Despite the name, was another Philippine metal band and they just formed last year too, but despite that, has become the talk within the Philippine metal scene. That's because their songs were really good that some even think that they can also reach the same success as Slapshock, which has become quite a mainstream band. Sadly, the Slapshock has broken up, and its vocalist took his life during COVID, which has left a big space in the Philippine metal scene empty until this day. Will Setsuna be able to fill that emptiness? I'm not sure, but so far, they are doing a great job in providing banger music that is reminiscent of Slapshock but also was quite different. Anyway, here are three of their songs from them that I want to share.
Dalangin
Dalangin was the band's third single that they just released during the Lenten season, which is a smart move, given that the song's theme is a prayer for salvation in this sinful world. Although the song was originally released during the holy week, we have the privilege to listen to it live during Rakpublika, and it was an amazing experience. If you notice in the video lyrics that the song has a Japanese translation, it is because the rapper of the band was half-Japanese.
Ahon
Ahon, on the other hand, was the band's second single and tells that no matter how many times people fall, they will stand up again and will recover. Looking at the music video, it has quite a simple setting, just a vacant lot during nigh, then they set multiple fires to serve as lighting, but it was shot magnificently. I also notice that in the Dj's table there are a bunch of anime figures and has the Stawhat Pirates flag. Compared to their third song, this was definitely heavier and showcased more of the vocalist's strong voice.
Silaw
And for the last song, Silaw, was Setsuna's first single, which tells about having a strong conviction not to be blinded or corrupted by greed. So far, all their songs were realy good, whether it was the melody or the lyrics, but among the three, I think that this was my favorite and has just the right balance of rap and unclean voice.
So, what do you think of this band? Even though they have just formed recently, all of their songs were a banger and I can see a lot of potential in them. when it comes to whether they will achieved the same success that Slpashock has, only time will know.
And that was it for this week's #threetunetuesday post. This was a project initiated by @ablaze where everyone was free to share their favorite music every Tuesday. Thank you very much if you made it till the end and you can tell me which song have you liked or was something that you never heard.
See you until next time!

Hi @saydie , it sounds like such a powerful track! Ahon really seems to capture that message of resilience and rising after every fall, it is something so many people can relate to. thank you for sharing this😍
It was indeed powerful song and also has a good meaning to convey. They also just have released a new song but it was currently available in spotify.
