Hace un mes fue el matrimonio de Liz y Antonio, unos amigos que conocí hace varios años por ahí en el 2017, curiosamente ella era la mejor amiga de un ex novio. Después de mucho tiempo nos volvimos a encontrar un día en misa donde ella me escuchó cantar, y meses después me preguntó si podría animar su boda.

Junto a Juan Pablo (en la guitarra y flauta transversa), nos pusimos manos a la obra. No queríamos simplemente "cumplir", queríamos que cada canto fuera coherente con la Eucaristía y elevara la emoción del momento.

A month ago was Liz and Antonio’s wedding. They’re friends I met several years ago, back in 2017—funny enough, she was the best friend of an ex-boyfriend of mine. After a long time, we ran into each other one day at Mass, where she heard me singing, and a few months later she asked if I could lead the singing at her wedding.

Together with Juan Pablo (on guitar and flute), we got to work. We didn’t want to just “go through the motions”; we wanted every song to be in harmony with the Eucharist and to heighten the emotion of the moment.

Al notar que no había tantas opciones de cantos de comunión modernos que conectaran con el sacramento del matrimonio, decidí componer uno. Con los arreglos de Juan Pablo, logramos algo único que pronto grabaremos para compartir con todos.

Los novios no esperaban la Marcha Nupcial ni el Ave María interpretados en flauta transversa, fue una sorpresa para ellos.

When I realized there weren’t many modern communion songs that connected with the sacrament of marriage, I decided to compose one. With Juan Pablo’s arrangements, we created something unique that we’ll soon record to share with everyone.

The bride and groom weren’t expecting the Wedding March or the Ave Maria played on the transverse flute—it was a surprise for them.
