im pretty excited to share KALDERA'S first music video. the song is called Words, Words, Words. We shot it using greenscreen.
it was tons of fun creating it.
The song comes from a place of noticing that so many seem to say things these days, yet not really mean it, things start feeling hollow.
A phrase, 'your word is your bond', many of us have heard it, but how many live by it anymore.
It feels that we as humans are losing this idea of following through on what we say.
i have often found i cant count on people to come through. that people are willing to say one thing and do another.
i often question if we people are really listnening as well. it seems in a general way, humans are more and more self absorbed.
the imagery in this video you may notice that all mouth hole, ear holes and eye holes become mouths casting words outward,
no longer taking things in, only casting out to the external.
We walk past each other in busy streets, close proximity, but so often more separated and distant than ever.
In my personal life i really try to stay true to the thngs i say, but it can feel like others dont.
i know many people still try to be true...but i cant help but notice how far short we fall.
It seems more and more important in this time to be true to our word.
I want to be a person who friends and family can count on, and i try to instill this idea into my kids.
Am i just swimming upstream instead of going with the flow of our day and age?
I hope you enjoy our music video in all of its surreality. We wanted it to be a throw back to the 80's and 90's style video.

Yeah, we were mixing art and a message. I’d like to think it was relatable too, that we can each feel a human shift away from being true to our word. I’d love to think drawing attention to this reality could slow it down, but I’m not delusional 🤪

Maybe I didn't fully understand the first time I read it and didn't realize it was a band you're part of. I genuinely thought it was a suggestion about a band I'd never seen, and that's why I said I found it interesting because of the proposal it presented, which I maintain. And if it's your band, then I apologize for not noticing and I congratulate you. In any case, I hope I can listen to more songs so I can fully appreciate the style and what you propose in your lyrics and melodies.

You could say that it is a song with many “Words” that touches your soul.

The song is excellent and the clip further enhances the lyrics, making you reflect on the world: Talking is easy, doing is another story; something I had never stopped to think about, we also see through the perception of words. The clip was perfect, in addition to enhancing the song, it opens precedents for us to reflect on life.
