Sábado de Reunión | Get-together Saturday

Hola, Queridos Hivers!

Ayer fui a una fiestaaa...

Cómo ya les había mencionado en mi post anterior, el director del coro al que pertenezco cumplió años el domingo pasado, pero los compañeros de Ecalisja decidieron hacerle una pequeña fiesta sorpresa ayer sábado.

Desde el domingo empezaron a planificar, a ver qué iba a llevar cada quien, confirmando asistencia, hicieron un grupo de WhatsApp y todo!
En eso pasaron toda la semana hasta que llegó el sábado, y confirmaron que había que estar en el lugar máximo a las 12:30pm porque José, el director, llegaría a la 1pm.

Mis padres me acompañaron porque no estaba muy segura de dónde era el lugar, y menos mal, porque nos perdimos varias veces jajajaja.
Estuvimos andando sin rumbo fijo hasta que uno de los invitados me fue a buscar a una panadería que estaba cerca. Allí mis padres se fueron a continuar con sus diligencias, y yo llegué a ayudar a decorar.

Encontré a una de mis compañeras decorando la mesa, y cómo necesitaba irse para buscar a José, me dejó a cargo.
Acomodé las trufas alrededor de la mesa, y las que sobraron las puse sobre la torta.
Luego puse las velas y el topping de "Feliz Cumpleaños" y ayudé a inflar unos globos.

Después de un rato, cuadramos la seña con la cual sabríamos que venían cerca, y nos preparamos para sorprenderlo.
Cuando llegó, ya tenía una sospecha porque mos escuchó cuchicheando, pero igual se sorprendió y estaba muy contento!

Fue una tarde fantástica!
Cantamos karaoke, comimos arroz con pollo, galletas con atún, brindamos (yo con agua, por supuesto), y echamos mucha broma. Me sentí muy cómoda y bienvenida!

Estoy agradecida con ellos por invitarme y recibirme con tanto cariño, con Dios por acompañarme en cada momento y contigo por leer!

As I mentioned in my previous post, last Sunday was the birthday of the conductor of the choir I belong to, but my fellow Ecalisja members decided to throw him a little surprise party yesterday, Saturday.

Since last Sunday, they started planning, figuring out what everyone would bring, confirming attendance, and even creating a WhatsApp group!
They spent the whole week doing this until Saturday arrived, and they confirmed that we had to be at the agreed place by 12:30 p.m. at the latest because José, the director, would arrive at 1 p.m.

My parents accompanied me because I was not too sure how to get to the meeting place, and it was a good thing, because we got lost several times, hahaha.
We wandered aimlessly until one of the guests picked me up at a nearby bakery. There, my parents went to continue their errands, and I helped decorate.

I found one of my colleagues decorating the table, and since she needed to leave to meet José, she left me in charge.
I arranged the truffles around the table, and I placed the remaining ones on the cake.
Then, I placed the candles and the "Happy Birthday" topping and helped inflate some balloons.

After a while, we arranged the signal to let us know they were coming, and we got ready to surprise him.
When he arrived, he already had a suspicion because he heard us whispering, but he was still surprised and very happy!

It was a fantastic afternoon!
We sang karaoke, ate chicken and rice, tuna and crackers, toasted (with water, of course), and joked around a lot. I felt very comfortable and welcomed!
