Hola a todos

otra semana más con mis queridos vinilos, estos discos y los que ya no tengo, no sólo son una discoteca particular, es decir, no son solo música, también representan momentos de mi vida y además eran mis juguetes.

Yo era el menor de seis hermanos, eramos 3 chicos y tres chicas, todos bastante más mayores que yo, la que menos me sacaba me llevaba siete años, por lo que rara vez compartía juegos de niños con ellos, aunque si pasábamos mucho tiempo juntos haciendo otras cosas, y una de ellas era poner discos en el tocadiscos de mi padre.

En casi todos los "post" de esta serie he hablado de mis hermanos y es que esta colección y mi devoción por la música se la debo a ellos y a ellas, y me resulta casi imposible no mencionarlos ya que siempre hay alguna relacción entre los vinilos y ellos. Además me hipnotizaba el tocadiscos, los altavoces, la aguja, todo era fascinante para mi.

Por supuesto también las carátulas de los discos, el cuidado que había que poner para manipularlos y que no se rayaran. Mi hermano mayor, además, trabajaba en la radio y llego a tener una coleccion de tres mil vinilos, entre singles y LPs, ya que las discográficas le regalaban una copia de las que enviaban a la emisora. Así que en ese ambiente crecimos y ese era mi patio de juegos.

Hoy os traigo un clásico del rock duro, tanto el álbum como la banda: The Razors Edge de AC⚡️DC, aunque no fue su mejor álbum ni el más famoso, además en el año 1990 la banda ya llevaba quince años de carrera musical con el desgaste que eso conlleva, el tema "Thunderstruck" se convirtió en un himno del rock and roll. La canción comienza con un punteo que no es tal ya que Angus Young solo usa el mástil de su Gibson para tocarlo, impresionante, podréis verlo mas abajo en el video.

Versioneada de mil maneras y estilos esta canción se convirtió en unos de los mayores éxitos de la banda Australiana, e incluso aparece en "Super Mario Bros: La Película" de 2023. Además de este tema conocido por todos el álbum incluye otras joyas como "Are You Ready", "Moneytalks" o "Mistress For Christmas", un discazo, la verdad sea dicha. Espero que os guste.

another week with my beloved vinyls, these records and the ones I no longer have, are not only a music collection, that is, they are not just music, they also represent moments of my life and they were also my toys.

I was the youngest of six siblings, we were 3 boys and 3 girls, all much older than me, the one who was the least older than me was seven years, so I rarely shared children's games with them, although we did spend a lot of time together doing other things, and one of them was putting records on my father's record player.

In almost all the "posts" of this series I have talked about my brothers and I owe this collection and my devotion to music to them, and it is almost impossible for me not to mention them since there is always some relationship between the vinyls and them. I was also hypnotized by the record player, the speakers, the needle, everything was fascinating to me.

Of course also the covers of the records, the care that had to be taken to handle them and that they did not scratch. My older brother also worked in the radio and came to have a collection of three thousand vinyls, including singles and LPs, since the record companies gave him a copy of the ones they sent to the station. So we grew up in that environment and that was my playground.

Today I bring you a hard rock classic, both the album and the band: The Razors Edge by AC⚡️DC, although it wasn't their best album or the most famous, also in 1990 the band had already had fifteen years of musical career with the wear and tear that this entails, the song "Thunderstruck" became a rock and roll anthem. The song begins with a pluck that is not such since Angus Young only uses the neck of his Gibson to play it, impressive, you can see it further down in the video.

Covered in a thousand ways and styles, this song became one of the Australian band's biggest hits, and even appears in "Super Mario Bros: The Movie" from 2023. In addition to this theme known to all, the album includes other gems such as " Are You Ready", "Moneytalks" or "Mistress For Christmas", a great album, truth be told. I hope you like it.
