Sketchbook 032 - Manic Moody Colourful Painting (Full Process Video)

My best friend and I have a saying for days like these:
"The brooding never ends."

When that mood hits, there is only one thing that helps....MUSIC!

Even though I chose not to have the word at the top of the page, they read: 'Worlds away, we can always listen to the same song.' It was a big part of the inspiration for this manic and moody little painting which is all about moodiness, depression and feeling bleak, while also trying to show that there is still colour and beauty to be found at the same time.

I chose to add the splatter effect to try and create a more frantic feeling in the final piece. It is messy, emotional and far from perfect, all in all I think it worked out exactly the way I wanted it to.

The imagery and elements in this are relatively obvious, I do not think it is necessary to explain those.

Well, that's it, hopefully it was somewhat entertaining!
