Don't be afraid of the unknown. Saturday's selections #9

- ¡Good morning, please come in and sit down! -
I fearfully entered the room, always looking suspiciously at the green armchair that simulated the comfort of a beach lounger. Right there I had to sit, put my feet up, lie down, and carefully place my head on a base where I would first rest my neck.
...And for a "torture chair," I must admit it was very comfortable...
But as soon as I saw the doctor's face I breathed a sigh of relief because I knew I was in good hands. He was a little over middle-aged, had a big, chubby build, a confident and kind voice, and a very professional disposition to attend to the patient. Despite that, my nerves only received intense electric shocks, until the Dr. examined the intimacy of my mouth with a very yellow light, ruling that the best thing we could do was stay away from the rays and lightning because of the amount of amalgam that our teeth contained...of course, mine and his...😅
This happened on Monday and we finished treatment on Friday, and in this way I saved, "sorry!", the dentist saved my tooth although I still have the fear of chewing normally on that side of my mouth.
Most of us feel that anything other than a dental cleaning is tragically stressful. That's why I put off that mandatory visit for a little over a month until last weekend a friend off mine gave me some super-cute guavas with which I made a spectacular smoothie that you can't even imagine...but I made the mistake of eating a piece that had a diabolical seed that got stuck inside my fractured molar cavity.
The battle to dislodge it was epic, but the dental floss and the auxiliary tools I used (a needle, eyebrow tweezers, a bobby pin) were enough to irritate and hurt my gums, making my teeth feel like they were squeezed together. Luckily, I survived Monday and was fortunate enough to find someone willing to battle my damaged tooth and the horrible, unwelcome seed. How did I survive an uncomfortable weekend of doing chores around the house? Of course, by distracting my mind. When I'm not going out on the weekends, I love putting on music in the background because it's the best way to find pleasure in doing my little things, things that help me restore the order in which I like to live; and yes, I take that as a very intimate and personal moment, combined with the possibility of inventing something delicious in the kitchen, I think I get the perfect moment to feel free and reinvent crazy ideas in my head, but which keep me sane most of the time, because they help me maintain the peace and spiritual tranquility that my mind needs. That's why this time I chose some very special tracks. They accompanied me throughout the weekend, and early Monday morning I listened to them again before going into the consultation. There, with my hearing aids in complete peace, they helped me overcome my ill-founded fears. Maybe it's not what you expect from me, because I've never suggested music of this kind to you before, but I assure you that I've been listening to it for a long time and that in many ways it's helped me break down language barriers and better understand other cultures, other knowledge, other customs. Before that, Mandarin, Korean, and Japanese sounded exactly the same phonetically. But believe me, the ear adapts incredibly, especially when you're overwhelmed by the incredible talent they all possess in their voices and music. I hope you like at least one of them, although you might not... at least try to enjoy the power these young people have when they sing in a language other than their own, and they also masterfully cover songs that will leave you pleasantly surprised. At least for me, they made me completely forget the discomfort of a fractured tooth and made me feel like my home is the best place on earth to be with myself on the weekends. My best wishes to all of you, and until next musical Saturday...with two of the best pieces of advice: don't be afraid of a dentist, and always open your musical tuning fork. Just listen and dream. 🦋🌺 HENRY - IT'S YOU🌺🦋
Yes, the guava smoothie was really delicious, especially because it has a lot of vitamin C.
This is basically ramen with cheese balls plus a little extra cheese, but honestly it was horrible...not even my Chloe liked it.
I think they were a little more worried than I was during the wait...😅.. they should have listened to music, it's perfect for relaxing the nerves.
Always very grateful for your reading.

The guava smoothie looks really good, eveb tge color is beautiful and appetizing. It's unfortunate that some seed got stuck on your teeth. I'll be really super annoyed if it happened to me 🫠. And music when you are at home is really enjoyable especially weekend. I prefer to listen to it using earbuds or earphones though. Hehe
Thanks for your kind words... you know how when you listen to music at home, you get an incredible vibe? And I have energy to do so many things...
The guava seed gave me a bad time, but I knew only a doctor could get it out of there... hahaha.
I hope your weekend is very pleasant and enjoyable.

It's good to distract your mind from things like that, and you've done well. Besides, music can often work miracles! May beautiful days lie ahead! The tracks you chose are lovely; I enjoyed them very much!
Dear friend, the situation with the seed was my own fault. Fears are sometimes dangerous and disconcerting... something extreme has to happen for me to react.
Music is an exceptional remedy for alleviating physical and emotional pain... all that's left is to try it.
A big hug to you, and I hope your weekend was a great one.

Have a wonderful week!!!💗
Good thing you found someone to fight with the devil's seed and save your tooth!!! Especially in this day and age...😉. Even I would have risked my teeth and molars (equally full of almalgams 😆) for a piece of that delicious guava!!! Un abrazo desde la capital.
Mmmm... well, it's best to avoid them because anything stuck in a tooth is frustrating... just imagine, I'm starting to feel better today from the lockjaw that the manipulation caused... What a pain! .
Best wishes to the parents in your family. I hope you're having a wonderful Sunday..

Glad to hear you are doing better. Thanks for the congratulations will be given.
I thought you'd be encouraged to bring us your stick figures, I'm sure that with your imagination it would be something extraordinary...😎
My weekend got tangled up "como bejuco de boniato 🤭.
OUCH! I'm sorry to hear that naughty guava tricked you! I hope your tooth is alright and doesn't cause you any further trouble! I felt bad for you but also couldn't help but laugh thinking of your arsenal of tools to get the seed out. Sadly, I've been there before.
Music does make everything better! I also like to listen to music in different languages, it helps to understand the spirit of other places as well as the language I think 🙌! I'm at work now but I'll have to come back and check out the songs later 😄
Hello!!!! Nice to see you on my wall... the seeds stuck between my teeth are a pain in the... you know!! 😂 Not even if I had stuck a bulldozer in my mouth, it wouldn't have come out... 😂
Music is exceptionally healing... it even makes you want to fly.
MI hope you're resting and that you had a pleasant day with the fathers in your family; we're celebrating their day here today, Sunday, in this part of the hemisphere.
In a little while, you'll be able to see my nude artwork, with some stick figures... 😂
Thanks for stopping by. 🌹🌹🌹
Thankfully, the dentist saved the tooth and saved you from further pain. The guava was the culprit but it paved the way for you to proceed with the doctor's appointment. Music is a good company for you and helped you deal with something that makes you anxious.
