Finding five
There was a time when I couldn't count to five but I can now, and I can also count on 'the five' - I mean Maroon 5 - the legit band formed in California back a while who cross over a few different genres to deliver a pretty unique and diverse sound which I find enjoyable. It's sort of uplifting to me and I've often turned to their music when in a particular mood and always find value in it.
Fronted by Adam Levine the group of (strangely considering their name) six people deliver a funky sound that leans towards pop at times and soft rock and something called blue-eyed soul (R&B by white people apparently.) Whatever it's called and labelled I like it and I figured I'd share five tracks I really enjoy for various reasons.
Finding five tracks out of their many releases to single out is difficult as I like all of them but those above are what I've selected to share today because, well...I don't need a reason do I?
You may not like them, the tracks above or the band in general, and I don't care if you don't, music is a personal thing, something that each of us find enjoyable for our own different reasons. You don't have to like what I like or what anyone else likes either and your opinion doesn't , or shouldn't, influence what others think, just as mine or other people's opinion on the music you like is irrelevant. Music should reach inside a person and take hold and if that's happened it simply doesn't matter what other people think.
If you go ahead and listen to the tracks above and want to comment then please go ahead below, or if you want to drop a link to a track you like then do that too...or do nothing, it's called freedom of choice.

Maroon 5 marked a generation with their beautiful songs My favorite Maroon 5 song is "This love", although it is not as popular as the others.
They're still going strong in my opinion, music I listen to happily despite them having been around for a while.
Yes that's the beauty of music that can break the barrier of time and remain relevant in the hearts of fans.
Anyone else able to identify what your photo is.?
I can... (Prime)
I know you can...I was going to do a thing where I gave away some Hive or Ecency points to those who could identify it...changed my mind because I'd have had to give you all of it! 😎
Here's a chunky vote though.
Nice... Thanks Bro.
I know my WE post might be a bit much. But 100% on topic. 👍
Lol...too late if it's shit...already sent it to curangel. (It wasn't shit.)
❤️
I didn't know that you liked Maroon 5 as well. The album It won't be soon before long might be the first album of theirs I've bought, so you choosing the not so popular songs is really nice [Not so popular because they don't have music videos]. Makes me wonder might be my favorite of the album.
My musical interests are very broad and people are often surprised to hear me say I like something because they least expect it. You like them too obviously.

Hi Galen, when I read or hear blue-eyed soul the name of The Righteous Brothers comes to my head, I'm almost a neanderthal 😁. I liked the last two cuts, and no wonder I'm unaware of a group with millions of entries on Youtube.
Have a good weekend.
Nothing wrong with being a Neanderthal - works for me too. 😁
Now I feel less lonely 😁
Lol...Us Neanderthals need to stick together.
😆
What in the name of funk!?! Why is Moves like Jagger not on there!!!
Lol, I was going to - great song - but everyone knows it so thought I'd champion something else...like a champion. 🤔
True it is a bit over popular. Think it's my fave tho! They are a versatile bunch!
It's legit, I first heard it when I was in Paris to be honest...now everytime I hear it I think of Paris.
It's a great band and I like a lot of the songs.... the list I know!
I'll leave you one that I like! I like it very much, what good lyrics!!! Memories
Yeah, I know and like that one too.
Have a good night's rest!
I've seen Maroon 5 in concert and I remember buying their first album. The thing that always impressed me with them was how they have so much staying power. They would kind of disappear a bit and then suddenly pop up again with a hit. Kind of like Train.
I think they just love what they do, I get that impression anyway. A good bad I'd like to see live for sure.
I think one of the songs that connected me the most with Maroon Five was She Will be loved... Levine's unique timbre sounded a bit like James Blunt's, although they both sound unmistakable.
I think I like almost all of Levine's music, some more than others, but in general it's all very good.
I've become a bit monothematic with music tracks, I go on Youtube and Spotify and I can't get out of a vicious circle called Taylor Swift, Aerosmith and Leonel Richie.
But it's good to hear them.
That's a group of artists that normally would go together but it's ok to have diverse musical interests - I'm the same, if it sounds good and moves me then I'm into it.
Thanks for sharing.
