Saludos comunidad.

En los episodios anteriores de mi podcast, hablé sobre la autenticidad y hoy, justamente me llega una idea que puede complementar este elemento artístico muy bien desde el desarrollo personal.

La autenticidad, se trata de creatividad y originalidad, pero a su vez aspira la trascendencia. Cualquiera puede ser creativo u original pero no todos logran trascender, y cuando digo trascender no me refiero a hacerse viral (que también lo es).

Trascender para mí se trata de lograr cambiar algo, si al menos hiciste sonreír a alguien que de verdad sintió tu autenticidad, estás trascendiendo. El arte no siempre resuelve problemas, porque a veces incluso los genera, pero sí que a través de su autenticidad fomenta la trascendencia, al final es lo que todo artista quiere o debería querer antes que pensar en alcances o viralidad, trascender simplemente con sus creaciones.

Es lo bonito del arte que puedes trascender desde tu pureza, tu manera de ser auténtico. Pero creo que es un concepto que no puede entenderse como aislado de la vida, es decir un artista no puede ser solo auténtico en su arte, pienso que un artista antes es un ser humano y por ende antes de ser auténtico en el arte debe ser auténtico desde su humanidad y su manera de ser en general.

Por ejemplo, si un artista busca trascender y por tanto prioriza cambiar detalles a diario, en mi caso en las canciones trato de estar probando nuevas tonalidades para ver mis límites con la voz, pero al transferir esa idea a la vida cotidiana pudiera ser innovar tus saludos, tus conversaciones diarias, incluso tu escucha, tu atención sobre los demás, eso es autenticidad también y por lo tanto al potenciar eso, el arte también se verá potenciado, seremos más auténticos, creativos y trascendentales en nuestro arte.

Además, hoy comparto una canción que recién grabé, era una idea que tenía guardada pero mientras decidí dedicarle el tiempo que requería, fui cambiando y agregando nuevas cosas, a tal punto de que seguí básicamente mis ideas de autenticidad, romper formatos, romper moldes, no seguir estructuras preconcebidas, de hecho, hice un puente que terminé repitiendo como 5 veces con sus variantes, colé otro puente de otra canción, hablé "saliéndome del personaje de artista". Si nos vamos dando cuenta, son solo ideas de romper formatos, basado en ideas que ya han existido, obviamente no seré el único en repetir tanto un puente, pero sí sé que estoy transgrediendo formatos previos, y eso es lo que más retribuye la autenticidad.

La autenticidad termina recompensándote con más ideas auténticas.

'Traerme Del Cielo', una canción que aspiraba también tener cosas de Dancehall o Afro, pero terminé descartándole esas ideas porque vi una mejor oportunidad que dio tal resultado.

Fue para mí un gran proceso creativo, creo que mi voz está más experimental, no suena a mis canciones previas, suena quizá más con el pecho, es decir tiene mucho aire en la voz y no es tan nasal, eso me da unas ideas para sonar de manera distinta, aunque si es cierto que en algún momento me hubiera gustado haber grabado con la voz más afincada, de hecho, tengo unas tomas cortas con la voz así, pero no muy trascendentales como quisiera...

In previous episodes of my podcast, I talked about authenticity, and today, I had an idea that complements this artistic element very well from a personal development perspective.

Authenticity is about creativity and originality, but at the same time, it aspires to transcendence. Anyone can be creative or original, but not everyone manages to transcend, and when I say transcend, I don't mean going viral (which is also part of it).

For me, transcendence is about achieving change. If you made someone smile who truly felt your authenticity, you are transcending. Art does not always solve problems, because sometimes it even creates them, but through its authenticity, it does promote transcendence. In the end, that is what every artist wants or should want before thinking about reach or virality: to transcend simply through their creations.

That's the beauty of art: you can transcend from your purity, your way of being authentic. But I think it's a concept that can't be understood in isolation from life. In other words, an artist can't just be authentic in their art. I think an artist is first and foremost a human being, and therefore, before being authentic in art, they must be authentic in their humanity and their way of being in general.

For example, if an artist seeks to transcend and therefore prioritizes changing details on a daily basis, in my case, in my songs, I try to experiment with new tones to see the limits of my voice, but when transferring that idea to everyday life, it could be innovating your greetings, your daily conversations, even your listening, your attention to others. that is also authenticity, and therefore by enhancing that, art will also be enhanced, we will be more authentic, creative, and transcendental in our art.

In addition, today I am sharing a song that I just recorded. It was an idea that I had saved, but while I decided to devote the time it required, I kept changing and adding new things, to the point that I basically followed my ideas of authenticity, breaking formats, breaking molds, not following preconceived structures. In fact, I made a bridge that I ended up repeating about five times with variations, I slipped in another bridge from another song, I spoke “stepping out of the artist character.” If we think about it, these are just ideas for breaking formats, based on ideas that already exist. Obviously, I won't be the only one to repeat a bridge so much, but I do know that I am transgressing previous formats, and that is what authenticity rewards the most.

Authenticity ends up rewarding you with more authentic ideas.

'Traerme Del Cielo' is a song that also aspired to have elements of dancehall or Afro, but I ended up discarding those ideas because I saw a better opportunity that yielded this result.

It was a great creative process for me. I think my voice is more experimental; it doesn't sound like my previous songs. It sounds more heartfelt, meaning it has a lot of air in the voice and isn't as nasal. that gives me ideas to sound different, although it's true that at some point I would have liked to have recorded with a more settled voice. In fact, I have some short takes with that voice, but they're not as significant as I would have liked...
