Today, I want to share my thoughts and experiences with two beautiful string instruments that I’ve been learning and teaching through my own practice: the mandolina and the bandola llanera. These instruments are not only visually stunning but also produce an enchanting sound that captures something very special.

One of the things I love most about playing the mandolina and bandola llanera is the unique medieval tone that emerges in some melodies. This quality often evokes memories of ancient instruments like the lute and others that defined past centuries. It’s a sound that feels timeless, almost transporting us to another era—a reminder of how music connects us to our roots and history.

For me, these instruments are deeply rewarding and highly pleasing to the ear. Each time I play or share their techniques with others, I’m reminded of their elegance and of how lucky we are to keep these sounds alive.

Hoy quiero compartir mis pensamientos y experiencias con dos hermosos instrumentos de cuerdas que he estado aprendiendo y enseñando mediante mi propia práctica: la mandolina y la bandola llanera. Estos instrumentos no solo son visualmente encantadores, sino que también producen un sonido cautivador que tiene algo muy especial.

Una de las cosas que más me gusta al tocar la mandolina y la bandola llanera es el tono medieval único que surge en algunas melodías.
