(ENG/DEU) No Longer #FunkyFrameFriday in the Next Time
I have decided to (temporarily or permanently) discontinue #FunkyFrameFriday. Why, what, and how – I will explain here.
Ich habe mich entschlossen, (vorübergehend oder dauerhaft) keinen #FunkyFrameFriday mehr durchzuführen. Warum, was und wie - auch dies erkläre ich.
I hosted the photo contest for 17 rounds – over 4 months, weekly – with only moderate response. Even though I promoted it not only on my own profile, but also on other profiles, in communities, and on Discord servers, the contest never managed to attract enough participation to make me feel it truly made sense to keep running it. There were never more than 3 entries – often only two, or even just one. Or none.
I could continue the contest, since it is essentially an easy way to earn some rewards. And I was not dissatisfied with those rewards – they were always in my normal range. Normally, other posts take me more “work.” But that’s not the point.
More importantly, I have no interest in doing something that doesn’t make sense. In that case, I’d rather skip it. I already have enough things that require my attention – be it for CryptoCompany or for life outside the blockchain. And if that’s the case, then I don’t need to invest my love, energy, and time into something that isn’t being picked up.
Somehow this may sound “strange,” but that’s not my intention. I’ll probably just publish posts about the supermarket on my street or about my lunch instead.
Maybe I will someday pick up this contest again, if I manage to achieve a better integration into the relevant circles of the blockchain. But honestly, I doubt how much sense that would make – and I don’t want to elaborate further on that.
At this point, I had written 3 more paragraphs but deleted them again.
Instead, my direct thanks go to all participants and supporters – even if they were only a few. But to those few even more.
Ich habe 17 Runden den Fotowettbewerb durchgeführt - mit nur mäßigem Anklang. Über 4 Monate, wöchentlich. Obwohl dafür auf dem eigenen Profil, sondern auch auf anderen Profilen, Gemeinschaften und Discord-Servern dafür geworben wurde, hat es der Wettbewerb nicht geschafft, eine Beteiligung hervorzurufen, die mir das Gefühl geben würde, es würde Sinn machen, was ich mit diesem Wettbewerb veranstalte. Es waren nie mehr als 3 Einsendung - oftmals sogar nur Zwei oder gar Eine. Oder gar keine.
Ich könnte den Wettbewerb fortführen, da er im Grunde eine leichte Art ist, ein paar Rewards damit zu erlangen. Mit dem Rewards bin oder war ich nicht unzufrieden - diese waren immer in meinem Normalbereich. Normalerweise machen mir andere Postings mehr "Arbeit". Aber darum geht es nicht.
Viel wichtiger habe ich kein Interesse daran, etwas zu machen, was keinen Sinn macht. Dann kann ich mir das auch sparen. Ich habe genug Dinge, die meine Aufmerksamkeit erfordern. Sei es für CryptoCompany oder ein Leben abseits der Blockchain. Und wenn dies so ist, dann brauche ich meine Liebe, Energie und Zeit nicht in etwas stecken, was nicht angenommen wird.
Irgendwie klingt das "komisch", das ist aber nicht meine Intention. Ich werde zukünftig wahrscheinlich einfach Postings über den Supermarkt in meiner Straße oder mein Mittagessen publizieren.
Eventuell werde ich irgendwann diesen Wettbewerb wieder aufnehmen, sofern ich eine bessere Integration in entsprechende Kreis der Blockchain erwirkt habe. Aber ehrlich gesagt zweifele ich daran, in wie weit das Sinn macht - das will ich nicht weiter ausführen.
An dieser Stelle habe ich 3 Absätze geschrieben, aber wieder gelöscht.
Statt dessen, direkt folgend, mein Dank an alle Teilnehmer und Unterstützer - auch wenn es nur Wenige waren. Dafür denen aber umso mehr.

Sometimes, it's better to devote time and energy to things that actually make an impact or have a clear purpose.
Don't worry, there will always be opportunities to resume projects when conditions are more favorable or when you feel the time is right.

I understand what you mean. I am sorry that you put a lot of effort into #FunkyFrameFriday, and not many people joined but it still showed your creativity. I think it’s good that you are choosing what makes sense for you and your time. Thank you for giving others the chance to take part, and maybe one day it will come back when the time feels right.

I'm on the computer and my wife comes up behind me: beautiful thing, a married man seeing a naked woman! It's easy to explain, the tricky part is her leaving me some space to explain myself...
I listened to about 5 minutes of lecture before I had a chance to explain myself and sort things out.
