Vibe web3 music competition week 41- the Wellerman(cover)
The song wellerman which is a traditional sea shanty actually captured my heart with it simple beat and lyrics, though I came to know about the song after Nathaniel Evan's made a redemption of the song.while listening to it every day I came up it my own beat combination to spicy it up as I make my own cover using the harmonica and recorder instrument, where I played the harmonica first before the recorder.i hope you enjoy it.
Lyrics
There once was a ship that put to sea
And the name of the ship was the Billy of Tea
The winds blew up, her bow dipped down
Blow, my bully boys, blow (huh)
*Soon may the Wellerman come
To bring us sugar and tea and rum
One day, when the tonguin' is done
We'll take our leave and go
She had not been two weeks from shore
When down on her a right whale bore
The captain called all hands and swore
He'd take that whale in tow
*Soon may the Wellerman come
To bring us sugar and tea and rum
One day, when the tonguin' is done
We'll take our leave and go
Before the boat had hit the water
The whale's tail came up and caught her
All hands to the side harpooned and fought her
When she dived down below (huh)
Soon may the Wellerman come
To bring us sugar and tea and rum
One day, when the tonguin' is done
We'll take our leave and go
Congratulations bro.. This is amazing.
Thank you so much
