Luego de sumar experiencias y filosofar sobre la vida identifiqué que en esta etapa le llamamos amor a una ilusión que nos creamos sobre alguien más, y si se que muchos me cuestionarán pero, la realidad es que en un momento en el que nos estamos comenzando a autoconocer, como lo es la adolescencia, la palabra "amor" por otra persona carece de sentido y se queda demasiado vacía.

After gathering experiences and philosophizing about life, I realized that at this stage, we call love an illusion we create about someone else. I know many will question me, but the reality is that at a time when we're just beginning to get to know ourselves, like adolescence, the word "love" for another person is meaningless and feels too empty.

"Llévate tus palabras" la escribí con solo 16 años, una historia de desamor o más bien desilusión hacia un chico por el que "supuestamente" me sentía enamorada. No demoré mucho en darme cuenta de que solo eran ilusiones que yo misma había creado en mi cabeza pero, sabes qué es lo más hermoso de autoconocerte y de poder plasmar en canciones lo que vivimos en cada momento importante de nuestras vidas? Que tus letras se convierten en espejos de tus "YO" del pasado y entiendes que la vida es un proceso de crecimiento hacia una versión superior o inferior de nuestro ser.

I wrote "Take Your Words" when I was only 16, a story of heartbreak, or rather, disappointment, with a boy I "supposedly" felt in love with. It didn't take long for me to realize that they were just illusions I'd created in my own head, but you know what the most beautiful thing about knowing yourself and being able to capture in songs what we experience at every important moment in our lives is that your lyrics become mirrors of your past selves, and you understand that life is a process of growing toward a higher or lower version of ourselves.
