Hello, hope you're doing good while reading this. Stefanovah here with my entry for this Vibes week. The theme of music from the 1930s and 40s is a bit challenging, but I can do all things so here we have it... This song is popular as a kid's song but is of course a love song. It's from the given time period of our theme but i've done it in a very modern and style, Afrobeat. I hope you love it.

Shout out to the admin and judges @lordbutterfly @silentscreamer and @verbal-d for the great job of running the Vibes community... and to my good friend @jhrecordz who helped me with this beat. Hopefully we're able to re-record this professionally soon.

Here's the video on my Official Artiste Channel on YouTube:

LYRICS

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine
You make me happy, when skies are grey
You never know dear, how much I love you.
Please don't take my sunshine away.

Lost in thought, wondering how come
I'm always feeling jolly like it's July 4th
I guess the blame's on you it's your fault
Since you came into my life i've got so much joy
Oh my God i'm just so in love
Are you a star girl? Cos you light up my world
When you smile I feel so much warmth
God gave you as a gift to his son.

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine
You make me happy, when skies are grey
You never know dear, how much I love you.
Please don't take my sunshine away.

e be you wey dey give me joy always
You no be olé (thief) but you stole my heart away
God bless the day you came my way
You're my darling!
I no dey reason any other person
You're number one when I be counting my blessings
Telling them other girls it's you that I want
God gave you as a gift to his son

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine
You make me happy, when skies are grey
You never know dear, how much I love you.
Please don't take my sunshine away.

This was a nice and different approach, bringing it alive with that afrobeat vibes, I especially appreciated the rap verses you inserted into the song structure as well as the adlibs and overlaying of your main vocals over the backing vocals you layered. This shows real effort and creative thought process behind your artwork, this was a soft, gentle attack and shows another dynamic from your skillsets, great job

Thank you so much 🙏🏾. I did put in a lot of effort into being creative with the song and considering the many renditions of it i'm glad this one was unique... No stopping, keeping at it for the coming weeks
