I mentioned in my video that this entry is inspired by my friends. I recently completed my bachelor’s degree and this month happens to be my convocation (Yaayy 💃🏾). My engineer friends were inducted the other day and it was my first time having something to celebrate with these my friends, I felt pretty emotional. I felt like I was receiving the title with them because these were my closest friends throughout my study. I’ve known some of them since we were trying to study for the entry exams and we remained very cool till the very end.

It was emotional because I was by their side most of the time in the university, I knew the loads of challenges they had to overcome to be able to stand there that day. One of my friends lost his mum in our second year (it was a tough time), some had extra jobs (the good, bad and some ugly), together with the frustration of some individually sadistic people in school, depressions, insomnia, lots of stuff. These people were also there for me at every downtime and every celebration so I was just so proud to stand there and say yeah those are my friends. They didn’t quit and at the end we all turned out to be the real champions. Grades don’t make us losers, at the end of it all we all are winners because it took different layers of challenges to turn up at the other side and we are there.
