Vibes Week 29 - 90's cover song

Hello Hive and Vibes community!

My name is Vanessa and this is my first time participating in the Vibes Web3 Music competition.

The theme this week is 90s songs, and honestly, I spent a lot of time reflecting on what I really wanted to sing. It’s funny how certain things that seem so simple can sometimes take up so much mental space, but eventually I found myself running out of time to record and post my video.

It was one of those moments where I had to remind myself: Better done than perfect. My entry isn’t exactly what I envisioned, and I’m not completely satisfied with it, but I know that perfection is never the goal. Growth is. This is all part of the process of learning, improving, and embracing every step along the way. At the end of the day, the only competition I have is myself.

Here’s to always evolving, no matter how messy or imperfect it might feel. The journey is what matters.

The song I picked is Killing me softly, by one of my favorite female singers, the queen Ms Lauryn Hill.
