For this week’s competition, I decided to do a song with my friend Ranjan who is one of the most talented singers I have ever known. We’ve decided to sing a Bollywood song this time.

All the instruments in this songs are played live or are recorded either by DI or by Rode condenser microphone. It took almost 8 to 9 hours to complete this project. We covered this song in our own style. Everything from the music to vocals are a bit improvised so that to give it a personalized taste. We have layered many layers of musical instruments in different ways to have a fuller sound. We tried to depict that in video too.

‘Apna Bana Le’ originally sang by the legend Arijit Singh is one of the trending romantic songs of Bollywood nowadays. It has really happy vibe to it and it makes you feel alive whenever you listen to it, so we decided to go with this song.

I have produced this song on GarageBand and the video is edited on iMovie.

-GarageBand for iPad (DAW).
-Fender Rumble 25 Bass Amp. (Both for guitar and bass).
-Steinberg UR 22 C interface.
-Musicman Sterling SubRay4 Bass.
-Clapbox cajon.
-Rode NT1-A condenser microphone.
-KZ Castor Pro IEM.

This is all I can do in my bedroom studio. Hoping to upgrade it one day to a full sized one.
