Review of performances of my favorites from week 42

Week 42 of the Vibes Web3 Music Competition brought us countless wonderful entries, even more than usual, I would say, so I could say that it was one of the weeks I enjoyed the most since the competition began. Lately, I've been trying to pay more attention to instrumentalists, as I definitely connect with them more because I understand the effort it takes to perfect their performance. Of course, that doesn't mean I discredit singers, as they also have to practice and sacrifice a lot.

I'm going to start with one of the great guitarists on this blockchain. I know that most of you already know @guitarmcy, a guitarist who is accustomed to performing well-known and complex Latin American and international classics for us. On this occasion, he shares with us “La Comparsa,” a Cuban classic that he performed beautifully despite the technical and logistical difficulties he faced (many of which I can relate to). Despite this, he did a splendid job, undoubtedly a great performance.

It is always very interesting to discover new talent joining this blockchain. We know that the world is full of exceptional musicians, and on this occasion, I had the good fortune to meet @melisaxo directly from Cuba, a very talented young woman who, together with her saxophone, performed a song I know quite well called “Tu tanta falta de querer” by Mon Laferte. This song is quite interesting due to its vocal complexity, but which @melisaxo adapted wonderfully to give us a great show. I would like to take this opportunity to welcome her to this blockchain and to this contest.

Anyone who hasn't heard @eugelys perform a song on this blockchain has a lot of good things to discover. With her refined voice, she shares with us the well-known song “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” which she performs with great passion and vocal technique. It is admirable to see how Eugelys performs in front of the microphone and camera. She is definitely a role model in terms of performance, so don't hesitate to watch her performance and try to learn from her.

These were my three favorite artists from week 42. Believe me, it was quite difficult to choose from such a varied and talented universe of performances that made this week very special. For week 43, I hope to see some great performances. This competition is getting better and better as time goes on, so the sky's the limit. Let's continue to enjoy it.
