Week 24 || Letter To My Younger Self ( An Original)
This Song “Letter To My Younger Self” (An Original) is a song i wrote about trying to seek my younger self after getting a “text” and “letter “ asking what life is going to be like and whats it’s like ?
With my response in lyrics goes thus
It took a while to get here , i got your text and letters too
But then before we go on , I’d like to say a thing or two
There are funny days and happy days ,
You’ll cry and you’ll be sad too
Your life would spin like hurricane
and you won’t know what else you can do
You get in lot of trouble with the kind of friends you keep at school
You’ll see a girl that you like but she will never like you too
There are funny days and happy days ,
you’ll cry and you’ll laugh too
Your life would spin like hurricane
and you wont know what elae you can do
So , please don’t grow up too fast
Abeg ( I beg)
So it’s basically the older version of myself telling my younger self not to grow up too fast , life would come at you unexpectedly
Some days would be good and some days would be sad .
But, regardless you keep pushing and keep showing up
I hope that you can relate and enjoy this song .

This is such a lovely entry, it reminds me of the not-so-funny joke we all make — adulthood na scam. Nobody took the time to inform us of the downs or maybe we ignored it. I love the easiness in the music and it’s such a lovely melody. Good luck this week!
You’re totally right to be honest 🌹. As kids when we were told “you will understand when you get older” . Now we do . Thank you so much for taking your time to listen

This is so calm Mo'
I absolutely love it❤
I tell my younger brother and cousins to enjoy being young..it's a time they'll never really have back, might as well enjoy the journey of growing rather than rush it if you can help it.
