Elton John Silver Coin

I don't know why it's just hitting me now.
I've written and explored silver coins on numerous themes, but yet it just hit my mind that maybe there were those commemorated to music?
With just a few minutes left in the hive UTC posting countdown, my previous mind was a Dbuzz but now let's dive right to it!.

We've seen coins commemorated to cities, ships, trains, wars, politicians and bears, but this one is something people don't easily think about, quite niche.

Sir Elton John has contributed wholesomely to the musical industry, composing and writing some of my and the worlds best songs, my personal oldest is one that not a lot of people know he had a hand in.

And for some of the young folks who some how (although it's impossible) didn't watch Lion King, should have at least heard his last song which was still a wonder hit.

Regardless, all I'm trying to say is that he's done A LOT for the pop and all round music industry.

And on the year 2020, he was honored with his own silver coin minted by the Royal Mint.

The coin is actually nothing short of a masterpiece showing the artists fashion and musically dazzling style with his showboating hat, glasses and bowtie.

At the back we have the side portrait of Queen Elizabeth with her wise knowing smile.
(Always wondered why they didn't do a full portrait)
The coin was designed by Bradley Morgan Johnson and I dare say he did a lovely job on it!

Made from 999. Silver and a mintage of 425 pieces, this is a highly valuable coin for pure Elton fans.
Not one I'd go looking for cause I'm sure they're all bought up and overpriced but if there's a steal deal, and I have the funds, why not?😂
