Once again we go through this beautiful community to continue sharing an excellent initiative based on our favorite music videos, those that never fail to be at the top of the playlist on Youtube and above all do not cease to be a very special choice when it comes to enjoying good music. This time I will talk a little about a video that in my particular evokes one of the most intriguing themes that can exist: an eternal love. This is the first thing I think of every time I listen to "My immortal" by Evanescence.

How did I come to find this musical pearl? Thanks to a brother I have who has always liked this musical style. Through him I heard "Going under" for the first time, and when I saw the music video it was simply love at first sight. Sorry Avril Lavigne, but Amy Lee also has her charm. I immediately started listening to this group, and with "Bring me to life", everything seemed like a dream come true, because the voice and the intensity that Amy gives to these songs is something that borders on the sublime, and after listening to them I could never stop enjoying both music videos that also have their own story. Everything up to this point seemed great, not knowing what would come next.

Una vez más pasamos por esta hermosa comunidad para seguir compartiendo de una excelente iniciativa basada en nuestros videos musicales favoritos, esos que no dejan de estar en el primer lugar de la lista de reproducción en Youtube y que sobretodo no dejan de ser una elección muy especial a la hora de disfrutar de buena música. En esta oportunidad les hablaré un poco de un video que en mi particular evoca uno de los temas más intrigantes que puede existir: un amor eterno. Esto es lo primero que pienso cada vez que escucho "My immortal" de Evanescence.

¿Cómo llegué a encontrar esta perla musical? Gracias a un hermano que tengo y a quien siempre le ha gustado este estilo musical. Por medio de él escuché por primera vez "Going under", y al ver el video musical sencillamente fue amor a primera vista. Lo siento Avril Lavigne, pero Amy Lee también tiene su encanto. Enseguida empecé a escuchar a este grupo, y con "Bring me to life", todo parecía un sueño hecho realidad, pues la voz y la intensidad que Amy le imprime a estos temas es algo que roza en lo sublime, y pues al escucharlas nunca más pude dejar de disfrutar de ambos videos musicales que también tienen su propia historia. Todo hasta aquí parecía de maravilla, sin saber lo que vendría luego.

The music video for My immortal is that kind of presentation in which a story is woven between the lyrics and what you see at the same time. The fact that the video is in black and white was an excellent choice, because it goes hand in hand with the message to be transmitted. The location? Fantastic, as well as those lines in which the piano also makes an appearance on the video's stage. Everything seems to be in perfect sync, something that enhances even more what the song transmits. To say I have a favorite part is hard for me, and it's one of those videos that you can't stop watching from beginning to end.

The image Amy conveys is just too adorable, both with her voice and her presence. That was a shocker for me because I had already seen a totally different Amy Lee in "Going under" and "Bring me to life", and now seeing her in this video simply made me fall in love with her performance. You can clearly perceive how she lives each lyric of the music, while her face seems to be assimilating the meaning that in each phrase envelops us more with its charm. "My immortal" is one of those songs that, at least in my case, allows me to sing and think deeply at the same time about something that, as I mentioned at the beginning, usually generates a lot of intrigue in our emotions and feelings.

El video musical de My immortal es esa clase de presentación en la que una historia se va tejiendo entre la letra y lo que ves al mismo tiempo. El hecho de que el video esté en blanco y negro fue una excelente elección, porque va de la mano con el mensaje que se quiere transmitir. ¿El lugar? Fantástico, al igual que esos trazos en los que el piano también hace acto de presencia en el escenario del video. Todo parece estar en perfecta sintonía, algo que realza aún más lo que transmite la canción. Decir que tengo una parte favorita es difícil para mí, y es de esos videos de los que no puedes dejar de ver de principio a fin.

La imagen que transmite Amy es demasiado adorable, tanto con su voz como su presencia. Eso para mí fue algo impactante porque ya venía de ver a una Amy Lee totalmente distinta en "Going under" y "Bring me to life", y ahora verla en este video sencillamente me enamoró con su interpretación. Claramente se percibe como ella vive cada letra de la música, mientras su rostro parece ir asimilando el significado que en cada frase nos envuelve más con su encanto. "My immortal" es de esos temas que, por lo menos en mi caso, me permite cantar y pensar profundamente a la vez sobre algo que como lo mencioné al principio, suele generar mucha intriga en nuestras emociones y sentimientos.

Many people relate this theme to the death of a loved one who has come to be loved in a unique and special way. A sample of this is seen when in the list of comments of the video you see many people quoting and remembering someone else who is no longer here but who left something worthy of love and also of a special recognition. That's why I say that putting the video in black and white was a marvelous decision, and even more so when you can see that this choice had a purpose, something that was achieved to perfection. In my case, my first reaction was to think of that great and unforgettable love that you want to feel in your life, something "immortal" and that lasts for eternity.

It is hard to say goodbye to someone you wish to have with you forever. At some point that ideal person leaves, but the feeling stays with you, anchored to a love for which you would give your life for just to have him or her once again. When you remember everything you did and were willing to do to fight for that love, you realize that it was what you had hoped for so long, and now the same time tells you that you must go on and carry a painful absence. We can spend a great part of our life thinking about an eternal love, and some of us could have the joy of getting it, but then reality comes to us and we find ourselves in front of a beautiful love that only lives in your heart to be missed without any more.

Muchas personas relacionan este tema con la muerte de un ser muy apreciado y a quien se ha llegado a amar de manera única y especial. Una muestra de esto se ve cuando en la lista de comentarios del video ves a muchas personas citando y recordando de alguien más que ya no está pero que dejó algo digno de amor y también de un especial reconocimiento. Por eso digo que lo de poner el video en blanco y negro fue un maravilloso acierto, y más cuando se nota que dicha elección tenía un propósito, algo que se logró a la perfección. En mi caso, mi primera reacción fue la de pensar en ese amor tan grande e inolvidable que deseas sentir en tu vida, algo "inmortal" y que perdure por toda la eternidad.

Es difícil decir adiós a alguien a quien deseas tener contigo para siempre. En algún momento esa persona ideal se va, pero el sentimiento queda allí contigo, anclado a un amor por el cual darías tu vida misma con tal de tenerlo una vez más. Cuando recuerdas todo lo que hiciste y estabas dispuesto a hacer para luchar por ese amor, caes en la realidad de que aquello era lo que tanto tiempo habías esperado, y ahora el mismo tiempo te dice que debes continuar y cargar con una dolorosa ausencia. Nos podemos pasar gran parte de nuestra vida pensando en un amor eterno, y algunos podríamos tener la dicha de conseguirlo, pero luego la realidad nos llega y nos encontramos ante un hermoso amor que solo vive en tu corazón para ser extrañado sin más.

"My immortal" is a song that goes straight to the heart through that universal language called music. No matter how much you watch this video, there will always be something that will stir those deep feelings that are written with the ink of true love, and who does not want to find true love that lasts forever? Well, even for those who evoke the memory of someone who is no longer here, the presence of that love is still here, just like life itself that today allows us to enjoy this musical gem.

"My immortal" es un tema que llega directamente al corazón a través de ese lenguaje universal llamado música. Por mucho que puedas ver este video, siempre habrá algo que logrará remover esos sentimientos tan profundos que se escriben con la tinta del verdadero amor, y es que, ¿Quién no desea encontrar el verdadero amor y que dure para siempre? Pues hasta para los que evocan el recuerdo de alguien que ya no está, la presencia de dicho amor aún está aquí, tal como la vida misma que hoy nos permite disfrutar de esta gema musical.
