Music my therapy😊. #234

To be honest, I wouldn’t really call myself a book or movie person. While I do occasionally enjoy both, what truly speaks to me is music. Music plays a huge role in my everyday life, it lifts my spirits, helps me reflect, and often becomes the background to whatever I’m doing. I connect deeply with songs based on how I’m feeling at the moment. Sometimes, I turn to uplifting praise songs that instantly brighten my mood and give me a sense of peace. Other times, when I’m feeling low or emotional, I find comfort in songs that reflect those feelings. I don’t stick to specific artists or tracks, whatever song I come across that matches my current mood, I let it flow.
For me, music isn’t just entertainment, it’s a form of expression, a mood booster, and sometimes even a silent companion.

When I saw this week topic which ask whether I’m a book person or a movie person, I couldn't help but think and find myself pausing for a moment. The truth is, I don’t fully identify with either category.
While I can enjoy a good book or an interesting movie every now and then, neither one truly defines how I prefer to spend my free time. For me, music holds that special place. It’s the one form of entertainment and expression that I find myself turning to almost every day, regardless of the situation.

Music has a way of reaching into the soul and speaking directly to whatever emotion I might be feeling. It’s not just background noise, it’s something that helps me get through different moments in life.
Some days, I wake up feeling energetic and positive, and in those moments, I naturally gravitate toward upbeat, joyful songs, especially praise music. There’s something about the rhythm, the lyrics, and the spiritual energy of praise songs that can lift my mood and start my day on the right note. It sets a tone of gratitude and helps me feel grounded and hopeful.

Other times, I might feel moody or emotional. In those moments, I tend to listen to slower, softer songs that match how I’m feeling. It might be a song about love, loss, faith, or just a soothing instrumental. The beauty of music for me is that I don’t need to have a set playlist or favorite artist. I simply let the moment guide me, and whatever song I come across that fits my mood, I go with it. It flows naturally, and it often feels like the music finds me just when I need it.

Unlike books or movies that require me to sit still and focus for a long period of time, music fits easily into my daily life. I can listen while walking, doing chores, relaxing, or even while trying to fall asleep. It’s flexible, personal, and deeply connected to my emotions. It also doesn’t require visuals or pages, just sound, feeling, and connection.

So, while I may not be a bookworm or a movie buff, I can confidently say I’m a music person. Music comforts me, uplifts me, and gives me an outlet for expression. It’s more than just entertainment,
it’s part of who I am.

I feel like if we listen to particular music, we may get tired of them eventually,
So I think it's actually good we listen to them when our mood calls out
