Today I'm participating in this Hive Music Festival session with an original song I composed in the 1990s. After reading two complete volumes of Don Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra's magnum opus, "Don Quixote de la Mancha," I felt inspired to musically express some of the emotional baggage that reading that work created in me, respecting, of course, the language in which it was conceived. Using enclitics, for example, "aposéntase" (appose), "impaciéntase" (impatient), that is, a brief summary of a great work, but translated into song.
The times I've shared my song with friends, I've been pleased to see that it sparks joy, nostalgia, and takes us back to that time when we first encountered this immortal work.
