Hive Music Festival Week 145 - Round 1 // The pretender (Bass Cover) By @musicandreview
Making music covers is one of my most frequent hobbies, and well, motivated by the fact that I am active in music communities on this blockchain, I have exponentially increased the library of videos I have recorded. I recently tried to count the number of covers I've done, but it was very complex, I got lost in my own feed as I was counting, so I preferred to leave it a mystery until I feel more inclined to do the count. The truth is that I think there must be around 100 covers, I don't know if I'm exaggerating, but that's the estimate that comes to mind right now.
I've always thought about forming a tribute band with some friends to hang out and have fun, but the question that has always come to mind is: tribute to which band? Well, coincidentally, today I'm sharing a song from one of the bands that has always come to mind. Foo Fighters has a musical style that allows its musicians to unleash their energy. There is a dynamism in their music that has the ability to reach different types of audiences, and that is something important to consider when forming a tribute band, but I'll see about that in the future. For now, I'm sharing a bass cover of “The Pretender,” a song you're sure to recognize.
Hacer covers musicales es uno de mis pasatiempos más frecuentes, y bueno, motivado a que hago vida en comunidades musicales de ésta blockchain he incrementado exponencialmente la biblioteca de videos que he grabado. Hace poco traté contabilizar la cantidad de covers que he hecho, pero fue muy complejo, me perdía en mi propio feed a medida que iba contando, así que preferí permanecer con la incógnita hasta que en algún momento me dedique a realizar dicho conteo con más disposición. Lo cierto es que creo que deben haber cerca de 100 cover, no sé sí estoy exagerando, pero es un estimado que llega a mi mente ahora mismo.
Siempre he pensado en formar una banda tributo con algunos conocidos para pasar el rato y divertirnos, pero, la incógnita que siempre se me ha generado es: ¿tributo a cuál banda?, bueno, casualmente hoy comparto una canción de una de las bandas que siempre ha venido a mi mente. Foo Fighters tiene un estilo musical que permite que sus músicos descarguen energía, hay un dinamismo en su música que tiene la capacidad de llegar a diferentes tipos de públicos y eso es algo importante y a considerar al momento de formar una banda tributo, pero eso ya lo veré en el futuro, por lo pronto, comparto un cover de bajo de “The pretender”, una canción que de seguro reconocerás.

To record this bass cover I downloaded the song from the band's official Youtube channel, then, I used the Moises application to remove the original bass line, that way I could record a completely clean line. I applied a couple of effects to give prominence to the bass since it is obviously the central element in my performances, but I tried not to overdo it in modifying the original sound previously recorded. I hope my presentation this week is to everyone's liking, I really like to humbly share my bass covers with the community, best regards!
Para grabar éste cover de bajo descargué la canción del canal oficial de Youtube de la banda, luego, usé la aplicación Moises para eliminar la línea de bajo original, de esa forma pude grabar una línea completamente limpia. Apliqué un par de efectos para dar protagonismo al bajo ya que evidentemente es el elemento central en mis presentaciones, pero traté de no exagerar en modificar el sonido original previamente grabado. Espero que mi presentación de ésta semana sea del agrado de todos, de verdad me gusta compartir humildemente mis covers de bajo con la comunidad. ¡Un fuerte abrazo!

Yo también me he perdido en el mar de versiones que he hecho, 3speak tiene la opcion de ver cuantos videos haz creado.
Esta canción es genial y tú la haz tocando muy bien.
Es verdad que en 3speak se puede ver la cantidad de videos publicados, pero como no solo posteo música entonces tendría que hacer el conteo manual.

I used to play this song with my last cover band. Man, it was great fun, we really rocked that stage off at the time. Such a shame we had to stop
The thing is, Foo Fighters have a special energy, which is why playing their songs is so much fun.
