Presentación en Hive Blokchaing Lenín Aquino
Hoy, luego de algun tiempo de haber abierto la cuenta de #Hive, aparté un espacio y aproveché para hacer mi #presentación, como es lo adecuado en esta red social.
Soy Lenín Aquino, nacido en Valle de la Pascua, Estado Guárico. A los 12 años migré al centro del país, concretamente a Maracay, Estado Aragua, Venezuela, en busca de mejores oportunidades de trabajo y estudio para mi familia.
En Maracay me involucré profundamente en el movimiento cultural. Formé parte y luego fundé el Movimiento Cultural San Ignacio, junto a una gran cantidad de jóvenes, cuando tenía apenas 15 años. Con ese movimiento comencé a trabajar con la comunidad y la sociedad. Organizábamos actividades de teatro, danza, música coral, y promovíamos el cooperativismo a través de cooperativas de consumo de alimentos. También gestionamos un centro médico vecinal, un laboratorio de bioanálisis, un centro odontológico, un parque de recreación dirigida, un estadio y varias canchas deportivas.
Durante siete años luchamos para salvar un pequeño bosque en la avenida Aragua. Finalmente, ganamos esa batalla y logramos convertir el terreno en el Parque Ecológico Simón Bolívar, que hoy sigue existiendo. Pasé 14 años de mi vida en ese proceso, hasta que fui electo concejal de la ciudad de Maracay por el movimiento vecinal. Ejercí como concejal durante cuatro años, siendo muy joven, y presidí la Comisión de Ambiente y Calidad de Vida de la ciudad.
Me dediqué a trabajar por el medio ambiente, enfrentando problemas graves de contaminación. Logramos cerrar una empresa química que afectaba la salud pública y la trasladamos a otro lugar del país, donde pudiera confinar sus elementos tóxicos. También conseguimos que se retirara una empresa tabacalera ubicada junto a una escuela en la Barraca de Maracay. Estas acciones nos dieron un perfil de lucha ecológica y defensa de la ciudad.
A los 20 años fundé una librería junto a mi hermano Simón en el terminal de pasajeros de Maracay, la cual ya tiene 46 años atendiendo al público. Posteriormente, creamos una imprenta, donde comenzamos a imprimir libros, leyes, folletos y periódicos. Me inicié en el periodismo vecinal, cultural, ecológico y social, y me vinculé con los sectores industriales y comerciales de la región. He formado parte de muchas luchas sociales en este estado.
También trabajé en radio: tres años en Radio Continente y cuatro años en Radio Rumbos Cadena Nacional. Siempre he estado vinculado al movimiento social. Actualmente formo parte del movimiento musical Encuentro Venezolano, junto a Diego López y otros cultores del país, realizando un trabajo social enfocado en difundir la música, los valores, la lectura y la cultura venezolana.
Próximamente compartiré algunas de mis actividades audiovisuales para el conocimiento de la historia de Venezuela y del mundo.
Llegué a esta red social gracias al trabajo que viene realizando @encuentro, un proyecto con el que me siento profundamente identificado. Me di cuenta de que este ecosistema es un lugar para compartir cosas constructivas y agradables. Esto es magnífico en estos tiempos de tanta polémica.
Espero poder compartir con ustedes parte de lo que hacemos en defensa y promoción de nuestra cultura, nuestra gente y nuestro país. Este espacio será una ventana para mostrar el valor de nuestras raíces y el compromiso que nos une.

Today, after some time since opening my #Hive account, I set aside some time and took the opportunity to make my #introduction, as is appropriate on this social network.
I am Lenín Aquino, born in Valle de la Pascua, Guárico State. At the age of 12, I migrated to the center of the country, specifically to Maracay, Aragua State, Venezuela, in search of better work and study opportunities for my family.

In Maracay, I became deeply involved in the cultural movement. I was part of and later founded the San Ignacio Cultural Movement, together with a large number of young people, when I was just 15 years old. With that movement, I learned to work with the community and society. We organized theater, dance, and choral music activities, and we promoted cooperativism through food consumption cooperatives. We also managed a neighborhood medical center, a bioanalysis laboratory, a dental center, a guided recreation park, a stadium, and several sports courts.
For seven years, we fought to save a small forest on Aragua Avenue. Finally, we won that battle and managed to turn the land into the Simón Bolívar Ecological Park, which still exists today. I spent 14 years of my life in that process until I was elected councilman of the city of Maracay by the neighborhood movement. I served as a councilman for four years, being very young, and chaired the Environment and Quality of Life Commission of the city.
I dedicated myself to working for the environment, facing serious pollution problems. We managed to shut down a chemical company that affected public health and relocated it to another part of the country where it could confine its toxic elements. We also succeeded in having a tobacco company removed that was located next to a school in La Barraca de Maracay. These actions gave us a profile of ecological struggle and defense of the city.
At the age of 20, I founded a bookstore with my brother Simón at the Maracay bus terminal, which has now been serving the public for 46 years. Later, we created a printing press, where we began printing books, laws, pamphlets, and newspapers. I began in neighborhood, cultural, ecological, and social journalism, and I became involved with the industrial and commercial sectors of the region. I have been part of many social struggles in this state.
I also worked in radio: three years at Radio Continente and four years at Radio Rumbos National Network. I have always been linked to the social movement. I am currently part of the musical movement Encuentro Venezolano, along with Diego López and other cultural promoters of the country, carrying out social work focused on spreading Venezuelan music, values, reading, and culture.
Soon I will share some of my audiovisual activities for the knowledge of the history of Venezuela and the world.
I came to this social network thanks to the work being done by @encuentro, a project with which I feel deeply identified. I realized that this ecosystem is a place to share constructive and pleasant things. This is wonderful in these times of so much controversy.
I hope to be able to share with you part of what we do in defense and promotion of our culture, our people, and our country. This space will be a window to show the value of our roots and the commitment that unites us.
