NO ME WITHOUT YOU
There is a divine weight carried in the simplicity of these song—“No throne without the cross, there's no sacrifice without Your blood.” These words engrafted together says a lot about the Christian faith: that the glory of the resurrection was first preceded by the agony in Calvary. It reminds us that Jesus didn’t ascend to His throne through conquest, show or force, but through surrender, pain, and love.
“All these You did for me.” These words stir the heart. It’s easy to think of the cross as a historic event, and even wander how true all this is because it's something that happened long ago. But this line brings it home—it was for me, it was for you The nails, the thorns, the stripes—Jesus bore them for each of us individually. What an indescribable love, unmerited favour, and abundance mercy.
And then, the most humbling line of all: “No me without You.” It’s not just a confession, but a total dependence and surrender. It says, “I am nothing without You.” My identity, my strength, my future—it’s all hidden in Christ. Every breath I take, every victory I celebrate, it all begins and ends with Jesus.
So when I sing, “No me without You,” it's not just a careless repetition, but I'm simply saying, “Jesus, You are the reason I live. You are my story, the essense of my existence, my purpose” And that’s the beauty of it all. Because of Him, we have everything.
Celebrate his Lordship-- He has paid it all for us.
