Hive Open Mic Week 230 // Ocean Avenue (Bass Cover) By @musicandreview
I was rambling for a couple of hours about which song to share with the community, but even though there are many options my mind was blocked, nothing I thought of convinced me. So I pleaded for remembering my teenage days to come to my mind one of those songs that I liked so much, and well, the first one that came to my mind was “Ocean Avenue” by the American band Yellowcard. One of the things that made this song stay in my mind was its particular video, it was one of the first times I saw one with time loops in the story that was raised, that really was interesting for me.
In general terms, the song is quite simple, but it has a melodic richness that from my point of view is fed in a great way by the violin, an instrument that is unusual in this type of musical genres, I think that made this band stand out from the rest at the time. As I usually do, I removed the original bass line and then recorded my own, for that I used the Moises application. I also trimmed and edited the song with the Cubase 5 application.
I hope my presentation is to everyone's liking, for me it is always a pleasure to share with you in this beloved community, a big hug!

Did someone say violin? 👀 haha
What a great rhythm, super energizing to start the day, you got it spectacular ❤️❤️
Yes, a violin in a rock band, you should listen to it more often. Thanks for your words of support. Regards!
Wow, that's really cool sir. I used to really like Yellowcard songs. You play that bass very well.
The truth is that I only listened to the songs on that album, then I lost track of them, but they are a good band. Thanks a lot for your support!
You're welcome sir
Hey man, it's been a while I saw you around. Nice to hear you again.
This is cool man
Bravo
Somehow we always come home, it's good to be back. Thank you for your words. Best regards!
What a striking time loops in your video, I'm doing memory and if there are few that include that, one of REM came to my mind but it's not exactly loop.now talking about the performance, good execution of the bass and striking if that if the violin, I really like the instrument but wow that contrasts with this type of genre, the good thing has been a nice mix for a song 😃
I don't really remember another music video that includes time loops, so that sets this song apart from the rest. And well, the violin element is always going to be the difference. Thanks a lot for your support, best regards!
