Global harmony is our mission. World peace is our vision. Our community's weekly live music celebration reaches musicians and listeners globally on a virtual stage, upholding the classic pattern of an open mic event. At the end of each week, we enjoy a community concert, highlighting a Spotlight Artist. Every contributor can be proud of the fact we are co-creating a more harmonious world by sharing the joys of music.

For Hive Open Mic 271, we will explore the following theme: "The Montain". Everyone is encouraged to express and connect through this theme. This is a pressure-free invitation to express and connect, encouraging us to explore new territory together as artists. Musicians always have full freedom to bring whatever music feels inspired in the moment.

How To Play

1. Produce - Introduce your video by saying the words, “Hive Open Mic Week 271”, including your name. Perform a song.
2. Present - Post your video in the Hive Open Mic community. Include the tag #openmic.
3. Promote - Share your link in the comments section of Sunday's open mic invitation in order to ensure your entry is heard.
4. Prosper - Build relationships by engaging with fellow music lovers through uplifting comments.

Good morning, @hiveopenmic. Thanks for responding. Due to an inadvertent error, my participation post for week 270 was published twice, and I wanted to explain what happened.

I've been publishing posts, but they don't get voted on because I upload them through YouTube and not 3speak. However, I spend hours trying to upload them there, and the text disappears, the image doesn't upload, or it doesn't open at all.

I told about that with a friend, who told me to download the 3speak app on my phone and post from it.

So I did. The post was posted quickly, which made me suspicious; it's like they say, "it seemed too good to be true."

So I went to check how the post had turned out, and I saw that the duration was 0:00.

I thought the video hadn't been uploaded, so I deleted the post and put "ERROR. DO NOT VOTE" in the title, and did the same thing where the post text goes.

I uploaded the video to YouTube and posted it to the community for the contest.

The @hivewatches team contacted me to call me out on the double post. I explained what happened, and they said it would be good to clarify it with the community as well.

Now I realized that all the videos say 0:00 at the beginning and the time is marked when the sound starts, but I didn't know that.

Anyway, when I checked the first post, I saw that I posted the error warning and that I shouldn't be voted on.

This is what happened, not with any malicious intent on my part, but due to ignorance.

Don't worry, you did the right thing by editing the first post so that it could continue to be voted on. Hivewatchers and we quickly realized that nothing bad had happened. We like to emphasize that 3speak is a platform within the Hive ecosystem, and you can contact technical support on Discord for help with any issues, but there's nothing wrong with continuing to upload your videos to YouTube, as it seems to be the most user-friendly method for you.

Greetings. I'm very glad to know you've noticed what happened, as this has been worrying me. I always try to post through 3Speak, but I rarely succeed. I don't know if it's because my operating system is old (Windows 7) or because my equipment is very basic and the internet is slow. I'm very glad to know there's no problem with me using YouTube when I can't access it through 3Speak.
