Last times sometimes are sad and some others not. The thing is that when we are doing pleasant stuff, enjoying good company or sharing good moments and the time comes it must end for any reason beyond our will, that last time turns very short and sad at the same time. On the other hand, it is when something bad or wrong, like suffering, or a violent scary storm, or a disease, gets to the end …, then it is a happy last time.

But then we may have the last first time and as it uses to happen most of the times, it is related to love. There is this first time you meet somebody special and unique, that time in which you feel time stops and the world around you vanishes in the presence of that person cause that person is the one for you, the one you, maybe, have been waiting for your whole life. That sublime first kiss, that subtle first touch, that beautiful first experience of love that transmits you the certainty that this first time is gonna be forever and it´s also gonna be the last time.

They say we only love once in a life time; I agree, that’s why according to that perspective the first time you fall in love is also the last time.

That´s what I think this song´s about, it is a sharing of an unique experience of love in which the singer describes simply and briefly but beautifully and deeply this first time to see the face of the loved one, that first time that as I see it and I repeat it´s gonna be a very happy-everlasting-beautiful...last time.

And here I am once again, daring to make a cover of what I consider one of the beautiful songs performed by the great Celine Dion “The first time ever I saw your face”. A song, originally from Roberta Flack, that I find so intimal and deep, so from the soul and so beautiful that I can´t help giving it a shot and trying to sing it for you this week the best I can, considering my technical limitations. What´s sure is that I´m delivering it to you with so much love and effort, so, I hope you like it.
