La esperanza, eso que nos lleva a hacer tantas cosas, a sentir tanto y a la vez a sufrir tantas cosas cuando lo que esperamos no se cumple.

Vivir con esperanza nos ayuda a tener la fortaleza para emprender acciones por lo que soñamos, pero a veces la vida, el destino o cómo lo quieran llamar pueden dar señales de que eso no será posible, y aferrarse a la esperanza en este sentido podría ser dañino.

Así también ocurre cuando amamos, queremos que esa persona de alguna manera nos siga amando y muchas veces por la esperanza somos incapaces de soltar y decir "ya no te espero".

No sé bien el contexto social de la canción escrita por Silvio Rodriguez, pero en mi caso quise imaginarme a alguien que decide soltar esa esperanza y suelta para su propia salud emocional y mental.

Igualmente vivir sin esperanza no tendría sentido, casi todo lo que realizamos en nuestro día a día se debe a que esperamos algo.
