Zaratustra: La Debutante en Club Vita

Hola nuevamente amigos de Peakd y Hive, como lo prometido es deuda, desde la bienvenida hace dos semanas atrás no he tenido la oportunidad de ponerlos al día con todas las cosas que van aconteciendo, ya que en la jungla de concreto el tiempo vale uranio, los momentos valen oro y la palabras se las lleva el viento, pero como en toda ciudad más que un viento creado por la naturaleza, son esos creados artificialmente por el correr de los autos, buses y camiones que nunca dejan de transitar.

• Hello again friends of Peakd and Hive, as promised, since the welcome two weeks ago I have not had the opportunity to update you with all the things that are happening, since in the concrete jungle time is worth uranium, moments are worth gold and words are carried away by the wind, but as in every city more than a wind created by nature, it is those artificially created by the running of cars, buses and trucks that never stop passing.

Ese transitar me dió una llamada sorpresa un día martes, cuando un amigo, ya connotado DJ de la escena under de Santiago de Chile, llamado Simetriko 002 me llamó y me dijo,”te gustaria tocar en Club Vita”, un club con una larga trayectoria en la noche y un gran currículum para un DJ emergente, como es mi caso. Pero no solo eso, me reveló inmediatamente el line-up de alto impacto de esa noche. Simetriko 002 (curador y dueño de un sello discográfico REVOLTE), Sol (gran amigo quien me presentó a Simetriko 002 hace varios años atrás), Melania Wonder (artista reconocida del Argentina, DJ en la cúspide de la popularidad dentro de la escena under y más allá del under) y la debutante Zaratustra (mi persona)

• That journey gave me a surprise call one Tuesday, when a friend, already a renowned DJ in the Santiago de Chile underground scene, named Simetriko 002, called me and said, "Would you like to play at Club Vita?" A club with a long history in the nightlife and a great resume for an emerging DJ, like myself. Not only that, he immediately revealed the high-impact line-up for that night. Simetriko 002 (curator and owner of the record label REVOLTE), Sol (a great friend who introduced me to Simetriko 002 several years ago), Melania Wonder (a renowned artist from Argentina, a DJ at the height of her popularity within the underground scene and beyond), and the newcomer Zaratustra (my persona).

Alto impacto, para mi en lo personal. Ya que los otros tres DJs en la cartelera de esa noche, no solamente ya son conocidos y son residentes de fiestas muy importante y reconocidas, sino además son dueños de sus propias fiestas quienes están acostumbrados a compartir cartelera junto con DJs internacionales. Para mi, fue el reconocimiento de un amigo, quien me consideró para tener un debut de ese calibre, me sentí profundamente afortunado de tocar en Club Vita con ese line-up de alto calibre.

• High impact, for me personally. The other three DJs on the bill that night are not only well-known and residents of very important and renowned parties, but they're also owners of their own parties who are accustomed to sharing the bill with international DJs. For me, it was the recognition of a friend, who considered me for a debut of that caliber. I felt deeply fortunate to play at Club Vita with that high-caliber lineup.

La preparación fue corta, ya que me avisan el martes en la noche y tocaría la noche del jueves. Los nervios de punta en ambos días y además se suma la alegría que me llamaron para empezar en un trabajo nuevo el mismo día jueves cuando sería mi debut. No cabía en mi alegría, en los nervios y en cómo luego de dos meses estando en la nada, sin trabajo y con poca interacción social, mi paciencia y esperanza, aunado a la confianza en mis acciones, terminaron concluyendo con un inicio de mes contundente, donde mi sueño como artista y mi ansiedad por estabilidad laboral vieron ambos un inicio el mismo día.

• The preparation was brief, as they gave me notice on Tuesday night and I was scheduled to play on Thursday night. I was on edge both days, and then I was thrilled to be called to start a new job on the same Thursday as my debut. I couldn't contain my joy, my nerves, and how, after two months of being in the dark, without work and with little social interaction, my patience and hope, coupled with confidence in my actions, ended with a resounding start to the month, where my dream as an artist and my anxiety about job stability both began on the same day.

Siguiendo con esta tónica, a todas estas es Simetriko 002 quien hizo la curatoría de ese día, y le doy las gracias por considerarme y confiar en mí, recibí su apoyo no sólo antes sino el mismo día, sentí que confío en que lo daría todo y más importante, contaría con la presencia de mis amigos. (a quienes verán en todas las fotos) - Todas esas personas que he tenido la dicha que conocer en la noche, en la vida, en el trabajo y con quienes he decidido compartir, reír, llorar y vivir, asistieron ese día. - Lo que pasa, es que si bien Club Vita es popular, una fiesta un día jueves en la noche es difícil de llenar. Pero, mis amigos me acompañaron.

• Continuing with this trend, Simetriko 002 curated the day, and I thank them for considering me and trusting me. I received their support not only before but on the day itself. I felt confident I would give it my all, and more importantly, I would have the presence of my friends (whom you will see in all the photos). All those people I have had the good fortune to meet at night, in life, at work, and with whom I have decided to share, laugh, cry, and live, were in attendance that day. The thing is, while Club Vita is popular, a party on a Thursday night is hard to fill. But, my friends accompanied me.

La envidia despertó días después, porque actualmente vivo con una señora mayor en el departamento que comparto y esta se quejó por la cantidad de personas quienes vinieron a hacer la previa en mi departamento, y es que éramos unos 8-9 incluyendome. Para mi era importante abrir, pero no abrir con el escenario vacío, y no solamente fueron estas 8-9 personas que estaban en mi departamento, también fueron otras amistades que llegaron por su cuenta, SOL y Simetriko 002 se llegaron super temprano también para ofrecer su ayuda, Elio Sivilotti también, gran amigo y también DJ llegó temprano y es autor de varias de las fotos que están en este post.

• The envy arose days later, because I currently live with an elderly lady in the apartment I share, and she complained about the number of people who came to my apartment to do the pre-show. There were about 8 or 9 of us, including myself. It was important to me to open, but not to open with an empty stage. It wasn't just these 8 or 9 people who were in my apartment. Other friends also came on their own. SOL and Simetriko 002 arrived super early to offer their help. Elio Sivilotti, a great friend and fellow DJ, arrived early and is the author of several of the photos in this post.

La energía fue positiva, la pista estuvo on fire, y a parte de todo, los nervios estaban a topé y cuando levanté la mirada y los vi a todos enfrente de mí llenando el espacio, sentí la presión y al mismo tiempo, sentí el amor de todos ellos. Fue una noche increíble, donde no empezó sino que se confirmó que tendré futuro en este mundo de la noche, donde confirme que debo seguir navegando esta ruta, que me llena de emoción, de nervios y orgullo, un camino donde tengo la oportunidad de comunicar mis emociones a través de la música y en donde mis amigos me han dado su apoyo rotundo.

• The energy was positive, the dance floor was on fire, and on top of everything, my nerves were on edge. When I looked up and saw them all in front of me, filling the space, I felt the pressure and, at the same time, I felt their love. It was an incredible night, one that didn't just begin, but rather confirmed that I will have a future in this nightlife scene, one that confirmed that I must continue navigating this path, one that fills me with excitement, nerves, and pride, a path where I have the opportunity to communicate my emotions through music and where my friends have given me their unwavering support.

No fue mi mejor set, pero fue un aprendizaje absoluto. Conté con los consejos de Elio Sivilotti, quien me dijo que debo mirar al público, relajarme y sentir la música, recordar que soy parte de la fiesta y que no todo era malo, mi selección músical estuvo equilibrada y estricta. Aprendí el uso del retorno, que necesito audífonos nuevos; Simetriko 002 al llegar, entendió que estaba teniendo problemas con escuchar bien la música, así que me prestó sus audífonos y sentí de inmediato la diferencia.

• It wasn't my best set, but it was a real learning curve. I relied on Elio Sivilotti's advice, telling me to look at the audience, relax, and feel the music, remembering that I'm part of the party and that it wasn't all bad. My music selection was balanced and precise. I learned how to use feedback and that I needed new headphones. When Simetriko 002 arrived, he realized I was having trouble hearing the music properly, so he lent me his headphones, and I immediately felt the difference.

Quedé sumamente satisfecho por todo lo logrado y aprendido ese día. Me di cuenta lo importante que es manifestar y que manifestar es una cosa muy subjetiva pero al mismo tiempo bastante funcional. Hay que darse las gracias a uno mismo por creer en uno mismo, ya que no creemos en nosotros mismos nadie creerá en nosotros y al mismo tiempo, creer en los demás suma en creerse a sí mismo.

• I was extremely satisfied with everything I achieved and learned that day. I realized how important it is to manifest, and that manifesting is a very subjective but at the same time quite functional thing. We must thank ourselves for believing in ourselves, because if we don't believe in ourselves, no one will believe in us. At the same time, believing in others contributes to believing in ourselves.
