Siempre he pensado que debemos tener un sitio o alguna experiencia que te devuelva al principio o que te haga tocar piso, conectar con tu yo interno, recargar energías para volver a asumir todas las tareas que supone la ciudad, la profesión o simplemente el trabajo que desempeñas. Para mi este sitio es "Campo Alegre", la tierra donde nací, la misma que vio nacer a mis familiares mas cercanos.

I have always thought that we must have a place or an experience that brings you back to the beginning or that makes you touch the ground, connect with your inner self, recharge energies to take on again all the tasks that the city, the profession or simply the work you do entails. For me this place is "Campo Alegre", the land where I was born, the same land where my closest relatives were born.

"Campo Alegre" es una tierra ubicada en un rincón del estado Lara en Venezuela, allí muy cerquita del pueblo de "Curarigua" de Leal de donde se dice que nació el tamunangue este título en disputa con el pueblo del Tocuyo. Lo cierto es que en estas tierras se respira la música en cada uno de los sitios que se visita. Geográficamente estos pueblos están ubicados uno al lado de otro.

"Campo Alegre" is a land located in a corner of the state of Lara in Venezuela, very close to the town of "Curarigua" of Leal where it is said that the tamunangue was born, a title in dispute with the town of Tocuyo. The truth is that in these lands you can breathe the music in each of the places you visit. Geographically these towns are located next to each other.

El tamunangue es una danza religioso-cultural que viene desde tiempo de la colonia, sus raíces son una mezcla de la cultura española, aborigen y africana y que fue hecha popular en los años de la exclavitud donde se dice que una vez al año los amos daban un día para que los esclavos pudieran festejar y poner en escena la mezcla de todas estas culturas.

The tamunangue is a religious-cultural dance that comes from colonial times, its roots are a mixture of Spanish, aboriginal and African culture and was made popular in the years of slavery where it is said that once a year the masters gave a day for the slaves to celebrate and stage the mixture of all these cultures.

En mi tierra se toca con mucha devoción a San Antonio, en particular los sigo desde cerca por la riqueza cultural pero me sorprende gratamente como mis paisanos entregan su fe y su confianza para que su salud, la familia y las vidas de todos puedan estar mejor en el futuro próximo.

In my land, San Antonio is played with great devotion, in particular I follow them closely because of the cultural richness but I am pleasantly surprised how my countrymen give their faith and trust so that their health, family and lives of all may be better in the near future.

Nos encontrábamos en medio del Caserío toda la familia del campo al son de "los negros", el tambor retumbando, el cuatro, las maracas y la algarabía de todos. como siempre acompañado del cocuy de penca bebida que es patrimonio cultural del país. Los abrazos no faltaron, las risas, el encuentro cercano con todos los primos y las anécdotas vividas durante los años compartidos.

We met in the middle of the Caserío all the family of the country to the sound of "los negros", the rumbling drums, the cuatro, the maracas and the noise of everyone, as always accompanied by the cocuy de penca, a drink that is cultural heritage of the country. The hugs were not lacking, the laughter, the close encounter with all the cousins and the anecdotes lived during the shared years.

Lamentablemente durante el mismo día enterramos un ser querido para todos, primero fuimos al entierro para luego volver unidos para el compromiso que ya habíamos adquirido con todos los presentes.

Unfortunately during the same day we buried a loved one for all of us, first we went to the burial and then we returned united for the commitment we had already made to all those present.

Los promotores de este encuentro fueron 3 primos, uno de los músicos, otro primo que nació en Barquisimeto pero que hizo vida en el campo pero el mas especial y que llamo la atención de todos fue un joven que ahora mismo esta en los "Estados Unidos". Que conoció a "Campo Alegre" a través de sus amigos y se enamoro de esta tierra a primera vista, luego de eso no había fechas festivas sin que el compañero "Pichi" fuese de visita. Ahora mismo desde otro país se las arreglo para apoyar y ser miembro promotor de este evento hecho en nuestra tierra.

The promoters of this meeting were 3 cousins, one of the musicians, another cousin who was born in Barquisimeto but who lived in the countryside but the most special and that called the attention of all was a young man who is now in the "United States". He got to know "Campo Alegre" through his friends and fell in love with this land at first sight, after that there were no holidays without "Pichi" visiting. Now even from another country he manages to support and be a promoter member of this event made in our land.

El tamunangue estaba estipulado para realizarlo en horas tempranas, por cuestiones del entierro comenzó casi en la noche por lo que se tuvo que resolver rápidamente con las luces. Se hizo lo que se pudo en ese aspecto. Para compartir y estar estaba muy bien, sin embargo no fue suficiente para que las fotografías quedaran mejor. Aun así, dejo este registro inmutable de mi familia en el blockchain. ¡Espero que lo disfruten!

The tamunangue was scheduled to take place in the early hours, but due to the burial it started almost at night, so it had to be solved quickly with the lights. We did what we could in that aspect. It was very good for sharing and being there, but it was not enough to make the photographs look better. Still, I leave this immutable record of my family on the blockchain. hope you enjoy it!
