My song of life.

"When you live like me, once is enough."

Frank Sinatra.

It's been a complicated weekend for me, as I've had my two treasures ill for several days now and the worry of being a mother doesn't allow me to rest and relax as I would like to do. But I read the weekend proposal and I felt like listening once again to this song that moves every cell in my body. It is the song "My way" and in this case Frank Sinatra's interpretation which I invite you to enjoy in this YouTube link:
Live at Madison Square Garden, New York City, 1974.

Ufff, I sigh to be able to start writing, because after listening to these beautiful lyrics with such beautiful chords, it is difficult to control the tears. It's a torrent in action with an exorbitant flow and the hairs on my body decided to defy gravity: my eyes don't lie, my skin doesn't lie either.

The author in this work makes a farewell to life and of course, at least for me, all farewells are sad. But this is a dignified farewell, with pride in having lived.
As he feels the sunset of life approaching, he makes a summary of what his transit through this world was like.
Confident in the person he was, in all the decisions he made along the way, he had mistakes and regrets that he assumed with pride, because it was simply his own decision to do everything he did.
He had very good, happy and loving moments, the kind of moments we all love, and this too he carries in his soul as part of his life and it is precisely because he did it his own way.
The independence and freedom of people is important to keep, as it is important to have your own voice and to express yourself.

I see myself reflected in this song, because I have always tried to do things my own way, for better or for worse, whatever the consequences, because I have always trusted in myself. It would be very comforting to get to the end of the road and say that I did it "my way".

Create your way and live your creation, it's your life, live it!

First things first, I hope your children get better and are very well soon, I am a mother and I know perfectly well what it feels like when a child gets sick you wish you were in their place. Now about the song, it is what we call a classic that I am sure, there is no person in the world that does not know it, it is a very emotional song and as you pointed out it has very deep lyrics, as we all should live our own way, a big hug from Venezuela for you.

Thank you very much, kids still cursed, I think I'll have to go back to the doctor. The song... Whew, brought more than a few tears to my eyes. Thanks for sharing.

It is true, we must trust ourselves and live life our way no matter what, zero regrets of not having done what we wanted to do.

I think that's what life is all about. We are what we do, so let's face it! 💪

I'm sorry for not commenting on this post previously; there sno excuse other than that I have to cover a lot of ground on Hive and have a life in the real world that is sometimes very demanding on my time and emotions. It can leave little if both and that means I miss things or have to prioritise.

Having said that, I did read your post and liked it a lot. Sinatra is a great singer but, more than that, the way you see (feel) the words and music, how they relate to you personally is touching. It's a true testament to the power of music.

Thanks for being involved this week and I hope this comment makes sense, it is just before 5am and I haven't been able to find sleep despite being very tired.

I hope I wasn't part of the cause of your insomnia, it wasn't my intention to bother you with so much verbiage 😬. You don't need to comment on everyone either, I was just saying that because I really like it, even if it's to say that what I wrote isn't right or that what I say isn't correct. I'm here to learn from those who have been doing Hive longer and I like to read people, let them tell me and give me guidance. You don't always get it right, at least for me the criticism of someone with more experience is very good and if it comes from someone who has already earned my admiration, then it is more than pleasant. I'm sorry if you felt somehow "questioned" (I don't know if that's the right word) for not responding to my post.
I appreciate your words and I hope someone will take into account my proposal to add more hours to the day, I need them too.
Greetings, a hug.

No, I have trouble sleeping for other reasons, so worry not.

Hive is a community and we are all on it so it makes sense to me to help others who need or want it and to look after it, which is why I am able to downvote those doing the wrong thing without any feeling of regret. So, I'm happy to interact with people who wish to and actually enjoy it.

I'm sorry if you felt somehow "questioned"

That's the right word, maybe challenged would work too although *questioned is a little softer. I didn't feel that way though, so no worries there.
