Hive Open Mic Week 155 - DNA | Happy Together - The Turtles (Cover) by @yisusth [ENG/SPA]

I am happy to be at Hive Open Mic Week 155. Congratulations to @stickupboys for this week's theme "DNA". Happiness is part of our DNA, I think part of our nature as human beings is to be happy. It is the essence and purpose of life. I don't think our goal is to live regretting, go crestfallen, sad and with a pessimistic attitude. Of course, that does not mean that we do not have difficult moments, and that we do not have to vent. Our responsibility is to fight to have more happy moments than sad ones. Today I bring you my trumpet interpretation of a song titled "Happy Together" by the American Rock Band The Turtles. This piece of pop genre was composed by Garry Bonner and Alan Gordon. You will surely remember it in movies like Minions and The Simpsons, also used in advertisements.

Me siento feliz de estar presente en Hive Open Mic de la Semana 155. Felicito a @stickupboys por la temática de esta semana "ADN". La felicidad es parte de nuestro ADN, pienso que parte de nuestra naturaleza como seres humanos es ser felices. Es la esencia y el propósito de la vida. No creo que nuestro objetivo sea vivir lamentándonos, ir cabizbajos, tristes y con una actitud pesimista. Claro, eso no quiere decir que no tengamos momentos difíciles, y que no nos toque desahogarnos. Nuestra responsabilidad es luchar por tener más momentos felices que tristes. Hoy les traigo mi interpretación con la trompeta de una canción titulada «Happy Together» de la Banda de Rock estadounidense The Turtles. Esta pieza de género pop fue compuesta por Garry Bonner y Alan Gordon. Seguramente la recordarán en películas como Minions y Los Simpson, también usada en anuncios publicitarios.

One of the challenges of life is that happiness is lasting, some things can bring us happiness, but they are short-term, such as recognition, fame, money and material things. These things can run out and have a very short expiration period. Sure, I'm clear that I'd rather be sad with a million dollars, than have nothing, and thus live in poverty. Self-sufficiency produces well-being and happiness. A balanced life generates happiness. If there is something that brings me happiness, it is work and service to my peers. If one does what he loves, it stops being a job and becomes something significant in our lives. The salary brings happiness, but it ends when you go to the market. Many of the things we do make sense, when we do it together with the people we love. When we work together with family and friends, it gives us great satisfaction. I firmly believe that it is important to focus our lives on the purpose of our existence, that is, to be happy.

Uno de los desafíos de la vida es que la felicidad sea perdurable, algunas cosas pueden traernos felicidad, pero son a corto plazo, como por ejemplo el reconocimiento, la fama, el dinero y las cosas materiales. Estas cosas pueden acabarse y tienen un periodo de vencimiento muy corto. Claro, estoy claro que prefiero estar triste con un millón de dólares, que no tener nada, y así vivir en la pobreza. La autosuficiencia nos produce bienestar y felicidad. Una vida equilibrada nos genera felicidad. Si hay algo que me trae felicidad es el trabajo y el servicio a mis semejantes. Si uno hace lo que ama, deja de ser un trabajo y se convierte en algo significativo en nuestras vidas. El salario trae felicidad, pero se acaba cuando vas al mercado. Muchas de las cosas que hacemos tienen sentido, cuando la hacemos junto a las personas que amamos. Cuando trabajamos junto a la familia y amigos, eso nos produce gran satisfacción. Creo, firmemente, que es importante enfocar nuestras vidas en el propósito de nuestra existencia, es decir, ser felices.
