I am pleased to share my trumpet performance of "I Think They Call This Love," an acoustic indie-folk style song composed by Elliot James Reay. This song was released in the video game Life is Strange: Before the Storm (2017). The song speaks of love as something confusing but beautiful, something that is not fully understood but is intensely felt. The melody is beautiful, nostalgic, and repetitive. I play this piece in the key of F major, with a slight shift to G major. It has a 6/8 time signature, with a syncopated, fluid, and relaxed rhythm. The song has a minimalist structure, and every time I hear it, it reminds me of some songs performed by the king of rock and roll, Elvis Presley. Before recording it, I took some time to listen to it and get to know the artist's personality.

Tengo el agrado de compartir mi interpretación con la trompeta de «I Think They Call This Love», una canción con un estilo indie-folk acústico compuesta por Elliot James Reay. Esta canción fue lanzada en el videojuego Life is Strange: Before the Storm (2017). La canción habla del amor como algo confuso pero hermoso, algo que no se termina de entender pero que siente con intensidad. La melodía es hermosa, nostálgica y repetitiva. A music judge must have musical knowledge and experience. This may be a product of practical experience or academic training. They must be impartial, not swayed by prejudices or impressions. When you have favoritism, you may not be fair and objective. We live in an unequal world where cronyism and flattery prevail. Anyone can succumb to these enemies of honesty. A fair judge must give each participant a chance and free themselves from prejudices. Someone may have had a bad day, and that shouldn't determine who they are and their abilities. Artists can evolve, and effort is important. It often happens that someone may make a mistake at the beginning or in a part of the piece. A fair judge knows how to be merciful, patient, and believe in people. Another aspect a judge must be careful of is being repetitive and acting with fairness and impartiality. I hope you can judge this performance with your heart.

Un Juez musical debe tener conocimiento y experiencia musical. Puede que sea producto de la experiencia practica o por la formación académica. Debe ser imparcial, no dejarse llevar por los prejuicios o impresiones. Cuando se tiene favoritismos puede que no seas justo y objetivo. Vivimos en un mundo desigual, donde prevalece el amiguismo y la adulación. Cualquiera puede sucumbir a estos enemigos de la honestidad. Un juez justo debe darle una oportunidad a cada participante y librarse de los prejuicios. Puede que alguien haya tenido un mal día, y eso no debe determinar quien es y sus capacidades. Los artistas pueden evolucionar y el esfuerzo es importante. Sucede muchas veces que alguien puede equivocarse al principio o en una parte de la pieza. El juez justo sabe ser misericordioso, paciente y de creer en las personas. Otro aspecto que un juez debe cuidarse es de ser repetitivo y de actuar con equidad e imparcialidad. Espero puedan juzgar esta interpretación con el corazón.
