Summer Wind - Heinz Meier (Cover) by @yisusth
A warm greeting to all music fans. I am pleased to share my trumpet performance of “Summer Wind” in the #Music community. This piece of music is of German origin and was composed by Heinz Meier and Hans Bradtke as “Der Sommerwind” in 1965. Johnny Mercer wrote the lyrics in English. My favorite version is by Frank Sinatra for its warm baritone tone, nuances that convey vulnerability, and rhythmic flexibility with the rubato. Other versions I have had the pleasure of listening to are by Willie Nelson and Michael Bublé. The melody follows a typical form of jazz standards with an undulating contour and intervals that add drama. As you listen to my performance, you will notice the key changes progressively, starting in D Major, then E Major, and closing with F# Major. The tempo is moderate with a relaxed swing. In short, I can summarize that it has a nostalgic melody and modulations that paint chiaroscuros with subtle and significant changes in its dynamics.

Un cordial saludo para todos los aficionados de la música. Tengo el agrado de compartir mi interpretación con la trompeta «Summer Wind» en la comunidad de #Music. Esta pieza musical es de origen alemán y fue compuesta por Heinz Meier y Hans Bradtke como "Der Sommerwind" en 1965. Johnny Mercer escribió la letra en inglés. Mi versión favorita es la de Frank Sinatra por su tono barítono cálido, matices que transmiten vulnerabilidad y flexibilidad rítmica con el rubato. Otras versiones que he tenido el placer de escuchar son las de Willie Nelson y Michael Bublé. La melodía sigue una forma típica de los estándares de jazz con un contorno ondulante e intervalos que añaden dramatismo. A medida que escuchen mi interpretación, notarán los cambios de tonalidad de manera progresiva, comenzando en D Mayor, luego E Mayor y cerrando con F# Mayor. El tempo es moderado con un swing relajado. En fin, puedo sintetizar que tiene una melodía nostálgica y modulaciones que pintan claroscuros y con cambios sutiles y significativos en su dinámica.
We live in a fast-paced, routine-filled, and exhausting world. Getting out of the routine is not a luxury, it is essential for our well-being. We are not a robot with an inexhaustible battery and, if something fails in us, we can hardly change it, like a spare part. Probably with a little budget, it can be done, but in some cases, there are parts that science has not yet been able to develop. Imagine, the time comes when your knee hurts, and then you go to the closet and replace it with a new one. Routine usually affects us mentally and emotionally. Now, one should not wait for the battery to be completely used up, to say that we are going to rest. It is much better if you do it with small breaks and take some time to reset, meditate, and rest. With the trumpet, it is similar, after warming up you should take an active break, and then take light breaks in training. I lasted about three days without touching the instrument, but it was a necessary break. I hope you enjoy this performance.

Vivimos en un mundo acelerado, rutinario y agotador. Salir de la rutina no es un lujo, es esencial para nuestro bienestar. No somos un robot con una batería inagotable y, si falla algo en nosotros, difícilmente podamos cambiarlo, como un repuesto. Probablemente con un poco de presupuesto se pueda, pero en algunos casos, hay partes que aun la ciencia no ha podido desarrollar. Imagínense, que llegue el tiempo en que te duela una rodilla, y entonces vas al closet y la sustituyes por una nueva. La rutina suele afectarnos mental y emocionalmente. Ahora uno no debe esperar a que la batería se gaste completamente, para decir que vamos a descansar. Es mucho mejor si lo dosificas con pequeñas pausas y te tomas un tiempo para resetearte, meditar y descansar. Con la trompeta es similar, después del calentamiento debes hacer una pausa activa, y luego tomarte ligeras pausas en el entrenamiento. Duré unos tres días sin tocar el instrumento, pero fue una pausa necesaria. Espero que disfruten de esta interpretación.
