Hive Open Mic Week 162 | Vivir Mi Vida - Marc Anthony (Cover) by @yisusth [ENG/SPA]

Last week, it was difficult for me to share my performance due to the constant power outages, however, I am happy to participate in the Hive Open Mic Week 162, "Be Okay" is a song chosen by my friend and recent featured artist from our community: @maryjacy. This makes me think about physical, spiritual, emotional, and mental well-being. One would like that state of happiness to be lasting, but life has its challenges, there are things that bring us the opposite, discomfort. Today, I bring a trumpet interpretation of a song that makes us feel good, that gives us pleasure when dancing, and has some important reflections on life. This Salsa melody is known as "Vivir mi Vida", composed by the Algerian singer Khaled, and covered by Marc Anthony. The lyrics talk about moving forward despite crying, regret and suffering. When we focus on the problems, the problems stay with us. You have to dance, laugh, appreciate the silence and live in the moment to learn. We have to appreciate when we feel Okay.

La semana pasada fue difícil para mí compartir mi presentación por los constantes cortes en el servicio eléctrico, sin embargo, me siento feliz de participar en el Hive Open Mic Semana 162, "Be Okay" es un tema elegido por la amiga y artista destacada reciente de nuestra comunidad: @maryjacy. Esto me hace pensar en bienestar físico, espiritual, emocional, y mental. Uno quisiera que ese estado de felicidad fuera duradero, pero la vida tiene sus retos, hay cosas que nos traen lo contrario, malestar. Hoy traigo una interpretación con la trompeta de una canción que nos hace sentir bien, que nos genera placer al bailar, y tiene algunas reflexiones importantes sobre la vida. Esta melodía de Salsa se conoce como «Vivir mi Vida», compuesta por el cantante argelino Khaled, y versionada por Marc Anthony. La letra habla de seguir adelante a pesar del llanto, del pesar y del sufrimiento. Cuando nos centramos en los problemas, los problemas se quedan con nosotros. Hay que bailar, reír, apreciar el silencio y vivir el momento para aprender. Hay que valorar cuando nos sentimos Okay.

One always longs for happiness and well-being. Now there are external and internal factors that make us vulnerable. The challenge is to be able to adapt resiliently to those challenges and overcome them. Some tools are important to reduce stress and feel good. I usually listen to music, meditate or read. During these days that we had no electricity service, I read several pages of an art history book, and I even took time to take a nap. It's like the saying goes, if life gives you lemons, then make yourself a lemonade. That investment of time was profitable. Just because someone has a smile doesn't mean they're okay. There are many people who rain inside, and who suffer from depression. No matter how good a person looks, one can have a few kind words, ask how they are, or how they are feeling. Of course, not everyone is open to sharing their thoughts or feelings, it is there that one must create an environment of respect, trust and love to break down those walls.

Uno siempre anhela la felicidad y el bienestar. Ahora hay factores externos e internos que nos hacen vulnerables. El reto es poder adaptarse de manera resiliente a esos desafíos y superarlos. Algunas herramientas son importantes para reducir el estrés y sentirse bien. Yo acostumbro a escuchar música, meditar o leer. En estos días que tuvimos sin servicio eléctrico, me leí varias páginas de un libro de historia del arte, y hasta dediqué un tiempo para tomar una siesta. Es como dice el dicho, si la vida te da limones, entonces hazte una limonada. Esa inversión del tiempo fue provechosa. El simple hecho de que alguien tenga una sonrisa no significa que esté bien. Hay muchas personas que llueven por dentro, y que sufren depresión. No importa cuan bien se vea una persona, uno puede tener unas palabras amables, preguntar como esta, o como se siente. Claro, no todo el mundo está abierto a compartir sus pensamientos o sentimientos, es allí donde uno debe crear un ambiente de respeto, confianza y amor para derrumbar esos muros.
