Hive Open Mic Week #282 | Non Dimenticar - Gino Redi (Cover) by @yisusth
A cordial greeting to everyone in this Open Mic brotherhood. This week, #282, we explore the theme: “Brothers.” I am pleased to share my trumpet performance of “Non Dimenticar,” an Italian song composed by Gino Redi and Michele Galdieri in 1951. The English lyrics are by Shelley Dobbins. One of my favorite versions is by Nat King Cole, and I have also heard versions by Dean Martin and Connie Francis. The original title is “T'ho voluto bene.” The melody is beautiful, warm, and emotional. The key is G major, and in my case, I play it in A major. The tempo is slow and steady, with a very subtle bossa nova rhythm and elements of jazz. Without a doubt, a masterpiece of pop music and crooning, a soft, emotional singing style with a murmuring voice. The lyrics are a plea for recognition of the beauty of shared memories, acceptance of new love, and a plea to not be forgotten.

Un cordial saludo para todos en esta hermandad del Open Mic. En esta semana #282, exploramos la temática: “Brothers”. Tengo el agrado de compartir mi interpretación con mi trompeta de «Non Dimenticar», una canción italiana compuesta por Gino Redi y Michele Galdieri en 1951. La letra en inglés es de Shelley Dobbins. Una de mis versiones favoritas es la de Nat King Cole, también he escuchado la de Dean Martin y la de Connie Francis. El titulo original es "T'ho voluto bene". La melodía es hermosa, cálida y emotiva. La tonalidad se encuentra en G Mayor, y en mi caso la interpreto en A Mayor. El tempo es lento y constante con un ritmo bossa nova muy sutil y elementos del Jazz. Sin duda, una obra maestra de la música pop y el crooning, un estilo de canto suave, emotivo y de voz como si fuera un murmullo. La letra es una súplica por el reconocimiento de la hermosura de los recuerdos compartidos, la aceptación de un nuevo amor y un ruego para no ser olvidado.
When it comes to siblings, I have fond memories of our games and laughter. I feel fortunate to be part of a family and to be the oldest of three siblings. My youngest brother passed away when he was a child, and I remember his angelic smile while we enjoyed some grapes. I hope to have the opportunity again to hug him and tell him I love him. It makes me happy to know that God brought him into our lives so we could care for him and learn valuable things from him. I have a brother who lives far away with his family. He plays chess and loves sports. His youngest son came with the same passion. We are always there for each other. Our parents raised us to share everything, and there is no difference between his and mine. I am always thrilled when he calls me or when I can reach him. Then those long conversations begin, and pleasant memories are unlocked. My advice is to enjoy our siblings, our earthly companions. I hope you enjoy my performance this week.

Cuando se trata de hermanos, tengo el bonito recuerdo de nuestros juegos y risas. Me siento afortunado de ser parte de una familia y de ser el mayor de 3 hermanos. Mi hermanito menor falleció cuando era un niño y recuerdo su sonrisa de ángel mientras disfrutábamos de unas uvas. Espero tener la oportunidad nuevamente de abrazarle y de decirle que le amo. Me hace feliz saber que Dios lo trajo a nuestras vidas para que lo cuidáramos y aprendiéramos cosas valiosas de él. Tengo un hermano que vive lejos con su familia. El juega ajedrez, y ama el deporte. Su hijo pequeño vino con la misma pasión. Siempre estamos para ayudarnos. Nuestros padres nos criaron para que compartiéramos todo, y no existen diferencias entre lo suyo y lo mío. Siempre me emociona cuando me llama, o cuando puedo contactarlo. Entonces vienen esas largas conversaciones y se desbloquean gratas memorias. Mi consejo es que disfrutemos de nuestros hermanos, nuestros compañeros de viaje terrenal. Espero disfruten de mi interpretación esta semana.
