Hive Open Mic Week #273 | Firework - Katy Perry (Cover) by @yisusth
A greeting to everyone in this beautiful Open Mic community. This week, #273, we explore the theme “Firework.” I am pleased to share my trumpet performance of “Firework,” a song that blends genres like Dance and Pop, composed by Katy Perry, Mikkel S. Eriksen, Tor Erik Hermansen, Sandy Wilhelm, and Ester Dean. This piece of music is in Ab Major, and in my case, I play it in Bb Major. The tempo is moderate, with a time signature of 4/4. This week’s theme aligns with the day of my post, July 4th, a day when the United States’ independence is celebrated with fireworks. The lyrics are an anthem of empowerment, self-acceptance, and the importance of letting each individual’s inner light shine. Feelings of insecurity are transformed into an affirmation of worth and potential. I believe that we all need to know who we are and what we can become.

Un cordial saludo para todos en esta bella comunidad del Open Mic. En esta semana #273, exploramos la temática: “Firework”. Tengo el agrado de compartir mi interpretación con mi trompeta de «Firework» una canción que mezcla géneros como el Dance y el Pop compuesta por Katy Perry, Mikkel S. Eriksen, Tor Erik Hermansen, Sandy Wilhelm y Ester Dean. Esta pieza musical está compuesta en Ab Mayor y en mi caso la interpreto en Bb Mayor. El tempo es moderado con una cifra indicadora de compas de 4/4. La temática de la semana concuerda con el día de mi publicación, el 4 de julio, donde se celebra la independencia de Estados Unidos con fuegos artificiales. La letra es un himno de empoderamiento, autoaceptación y la importancia de dejar brillar la luz interior de cada individuo. Los sentimientos de inseguridad son transformados en una afirmación de valor y potencial. Considero que todos necesitamos saber quiénes somos y cómo podemos llegar a ser.
As a child, I was drawn to the beauty and excitement of fireworks—their vibrant colors, flashes, and thunderous sounds. That spectacle always captivated me. As I matured, I grew more aware of them, especially because of my concerns about the impact on pets and their ephemeral and expensive nature. I often suffered from seeing my pets suffer stress, anxiety, disorientation, and even panic attacks. On the other hand, I see them as a luxury activity, where a lot of money is spent on something ephemeral and short-lived. A few years ago, I enjoyed a balloon show, but later discovered it was the cause of several fires. These days, I've seen drone light shows, laser projections, and quieter displays that don't have a negative impact on the environment. I hope you enjoy my interpretation this week.

De niño me sentía atraído por la belleza y la emoción de los fuegos artificiales por sus colores vibrantes, los destellos y los sonidos estruendosos. Ese espectáculo siempre fue para mi cautivador. A medida que fui madurando se creó en mí una mayor conciencia. Sobre todo, por mis preocupaciones sobre el impacto en las mascotas y la naturaleza efímera y costosa. Sufrí muchas veces al ver a mis mascotas con estrés, ansiedad, desorientación e incluso ataques de pánico. Por otra parte, lo veo como una actividad de lujo donde se gasta mucho dinero por algo efímero y de corta duración de tiempo. Hace unos años disfruté de un espectáculo de globos, pero luego descubrí que era la causa de diferentes incendios. Actualmente, he visto espectáculos de luces con drones, proyecciones láser o exhibiciones más silenciosas que no generan un impacto negativo para el ambiente. Espero que disfruten de mi interpretación de esta semana.

Ciertamente mi hermano, desde que aparecieron los drones, el cielo es la tarima de un magnífico juego de luces y tecnología; yo solía tenerle pánico a los fuegos artificiales de pequeño y tuve una mascota que sufría mucho por ellos. Y son algo normal para mi y los disfruto más sobre todo en la época de navidad jeje 🎄❤️...
